[辦公室英文] the best of three 三戰兩勝制比賽&相關運動英文

看奧運看的緊張，很多賽式是三戰兩勝制，一直聽到電視說著the best of three；如果是五戰三勝就是the best of five.

如果兩位選手在三戰兩勝的賽事，各贏一戰，最後第三戰通常都被稱做the decider 決定賽.

自行車賽看的很緊張，游泳已經是0.01秒的速度賽，自行車賽更是0.001秒的千分之一秒速度，哪來那麼細的計秒方式阿!

自行車賽是英國的拿手項目，尤其是室內的賽事，幾乎每項賽事都是冠軍，偶爾掉了金牌，在頒獎典禮時，講評笑稱偶爾換個國歌聽也挺新奇的。

不知不覺奧運已經漸漸到後半段，近尾聲了(這樣我每天也可以早點睡了!)，英國目前在獎牌排行榜上表現驚人，居然是第二名，在追不到的美國之後，在第三名中國之前，所謂是前所未見阿。平民百姓跟媒體見著獎牌數直直上升，創造一股feeling-good feeling

不過英國也拿了很多第四名，第四名是最悲情的名次了，前三名有獎牌，後面幾名離得牌太遠，但是第四名so close to a medal，離獎牌好近，但又什麼都沒有

看比賽時常會聽到或看到常見英文：

Pace 速度(名詞) 當講到運動員跑跳游的速度，用pace, 非speed
Track race 跑道的場地比賽，例如田徑跑道就是track race

當然奧運不只是得獎牌，運動員精神更重要。在女子五千公尺半決賽中兩位女子選手跌倒了，紐西蘭選手扶起美國選手，兩人一拐一拐扶著用走的到終點

Chinese netizens have been foaming at the mouth over Angelina Jolie’s statement in Shanghai that Ang Lee is her favourite Taiwanese—and not Chinese—director.

Jolie was in town to promote her new film along with husband Brad Pitt when she decided to acknowledge the elephant in the room.
