加州野火逼近保存重要史料及故總統雷根及夫人安眠的雷根圖書館範圍，所幸館方數月前已雇請山羊幫忙吃掉週遭大片灌木叢，等於開出一塊天然防火區，讓圖書館得以平安挺過野火(chew up the brush surrounding the library, creating a firebreak)。surround (v.環繞)=字首sur-(表over在…上)+字根-ound-(表wave波浪)，波浪不斷打在你身上，表示你身在水中、水已將你”環繞、包圍”，就是surround。(★surname姓氏、surcharge額外費用，字首sur-都表over在…之上)
