Taiwan is not a part of the World Health Assembly as it is not recognised as being an independent country under the One-China policy. Browne said the ambassador has mentioned some of the measures that Taiwan has taken, some of which he believes will work in the Vincentian context while others may not.

3/16 ─ 義大利前外交部長德爾其：「台灣可能是第一個向WHO報告新冠病毒人傳人的國家，而且早在中國和WHO承認之前。顯然地，台灣因為北京施壓，被排除在世衛組織之外已有兩年之久。」
March 16 - Former foreign minister, Giulio Terzi: "Taiwan potrebber esser stato primo Paese a comunicare alla OMS che coronavirus COVID19 si stava trasmettendo da uomo a uomo.Molto prima che Cina e OMS lo ammettessero. Ovviamente, per volere Pechino, Taipei subisce esclusione da OMS da due anni." (Taiwan may have been the first country to report to WHO that coronavirus COVID19 was spreading from amongst humans, long before China and WHO admitted it. Obviously, at the behest of Beijing, Taipei has been excluded from WHO for two years.)

Un grand merci au 🇫🇷 Bureau Français de Taipei - 法國在台協會 pour son soutien à la participation de Taiwan à l'Assemblée mondiale de la santé (AMS). La santé publique est un exemple frappant de domaine où il est dans l'intérêt de tous que Taiwan joue un rôle dans la résolution des problèmes mondiaux. Taiwan devrait pouvoir apporter son expertise et son expérience.

在醫療衛健領域，法國與臺灣互相分享經驗與技術，也有共同的意志讓所有人都能因此受益。在生物細胞、神經科學、行動無法自主的人的人因工程學，以及醫學技術影像等許多的科研計劃，雙方匯聚了最優秀的專家一起研究，促成了新藥物、新醫學技術的開發和病患舒適度的提昇。比如，波爾多的法國國家健康與醫療研究中心與中研院合力發展3D 醫學影像，就有助於研發新方法對抗癌症。還有起於法國史特拉斯堡和秀傳醫院的合作而成立10周年的鹿港的[臺灣IRCAD]，它即將慶祝10周年紀念了！現在，[臺灣IRCAD]透過臺法最尖端科技，發展對病患最有利的創新治療技術，並以此每年培訓數百名手術醫師，讓他們學習最精密的微創手術，值得一提的是其中有70%來自亞洲各地。法國在台協會敬佩臺灣在醫療領域的成就，這一點，對公共衛生來説至關重要。國際社會也受惠於臺灣在這方面的貢獻。這是爲什麽，法國和其歐洲夥伴支持臺灣參與世界衛生組織年會。我們感謝臺灣！也希望未來能進一步與臺灣合作一起促進全世界的醫療與健康！
La France et Taiwan partagent une grande expertise dans le secteur de la santé et une volonté commune de mettre cette expertise au bénéfice de tous. De nombreux projets de recherches scientifiques dans le domaine de la biologie cellulaire, des neurosciences, de l’ergonomie pour personnes dépendantes, des technologies d’imagerie médicale réunissent les meilleurs chercheurs taiwanais et français : ces recherches contribuent au développement de nouveaux médicaments, de nouvelles technologies médicales, à l’amélioration du confort des patients. C’est le cas par exemple de la coopération entre l’Inserm Bordeaux et l’Academia Sinica qui développent une plateforme d’imagerie médicale 3D utile à la recherche de nouveaux traitements contre le cancer. Installé à Lukang, l’IRCAD Taiwan - qui fêtera bientôt ses 10 ans - est une coopération entre l’IRCAD Strasbourg et Shaw Chuan. Centre de référence, il forme plusieurs centaines de chirurgiens chaque année - dont 70% venus de toute l’Asie - aux meilleures techniques de chirurgie micro-invasive et s’appuie sur les technologies de pointe taiwanaises et françaises pour développer des solutions innovantes au plus grand bénéfice des patients ! Le Bureau français salue l’expertise médicale de Taiwan, un véritable atout dans le domaine de la santé publique. Sa contribution bénéficie à la communauté internationale, c’est pourquoi la France, avec ses partenaires européens notamment, est favorable à une participation de Taiwan à l’Assemblée Mondiale de la Santé. Merci Taiwan ! Nous souhaitons coopérer encore plus à l’avenir avec Taiwan pour contribuer ensemble à la santé mondiale !
