    New year, new home? Looking for new properties to kick-start your 2015 investments? But how will the market fare in 2015? First, let’s take a look back at 2014.

    The property market was relatively static during the first quarter of 2014, showing a downward trend even. Major trading hotspots like Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang and Johor also recorded declines in transaction volumes, although properties for residential use accounted for 70% of total trading volume. In terms of value, there were less properties that transacted below RM300,000. In contrast, those in the RM500,000 to a million range topped the list.

    What about 2015 then?
