    【自己的需求可能就是賺錢的方式】

    研究數據顯示，美國頂尖企業創辦人的平均創業年齡落在45歲，這讓許多人相信，中年創業會比在青年時就開展個人事業還有優勢。

    不過，沒資源，專業度與經驗也還不足的年輕人就真的不能創業了嗎？畢竟有些好點子或商機是不等人的呀！

    2015年，19歲的Claire Coder正就讀俄亥俄州立大學，她在參加 CoverMyMeds所舉辦的創業相關活動時，發現自己月經來潮。由於來得突然，沒準備生理用品的她立刻跑到廁所，但廁所只有提供乳液跟髮膠，就在這個時候她靈光乍現，Claire Coder在當日創業活動的競賽中，提出販賣衛生棉條和護墊的用品，並效仿 Toms 鞋「買一捐一」的商業模式，讓她成功在比賽中獲得第二名的肯定。

    「如果我已經明確想成為一個自僱者，還應該為學位支付那麼多學費嗎？」Claire Coder 一邊思索該繼續讀書還是直接工作......後來她決定先暫停學業，不過沒有存款的她並非直接投入創業，而是到處打工，努力存錢。

    2017年時，Claire Coder確定自己能夠全職投入創業，於是正式成立 Aunt Flow，並從兩年前生活中遇到的痛點作為出發，專門販售衛生產品。

    創業最常被強調要有自己的獨特性，販售女性衛生用品的品牌到處都是， Aunt Flow是如何顯得與眾不同的呢？

    Claire Coder為品牌設計出一款自動發放機，裡頭有可替換式的分配器，可以輕易補充衛生用品。沒有太多經營知識的Claire Coder更突發奇想，透過LinkedIn的方式與其他企業家聯繫，進而了解到與市場做出區隔的重要性，而將Aunt Flow定調為B2B（business-to-business）的經營方式，主要為公司行號、學校和醫療機構的客戶，提供在廁所放置免費女性衛生用品的專門服務。

    Claire Coder將Aunt Flow銷售額的一部分捐贈給遊民收容所等組織，希望能為無家可歸的女性，支援所需的生理用品。

    這個友善舉動也令Aunt Flow獲得婦女商業企業全國委員會（WBENC）的認證，更因此而接觸到美國大型辦公用品連鎖店Staples，成為其經銷商之一，擁有穩定的合作關係。
