While the rest of the world is familiar with the idea of online music festivals and shows, Taiwan's nightlife has been lucky enough remain open throughout, a fact that has captured the attention of foreign press and media. But the outbreak has finally overtaken Taiwan's protections, and now our DJ booths are our bedrooms, and our evening entertainment takes place in virtual karaoke rooms until the early morning. The livelihoods of our local businesses are hurting the most. To support those who have supported our party culture for so long, we'll be holding guerilla-style, private, socially-distanced DJ sets at various restaurants throughout Taipei. During our sets there will be coupon codes for deals, allowing customers in Taipei to experience a dinner and a show for a bargain price. "Plate" can mean a dinner plate or a record platter. We want to synergize with the shops and friends who are born of a DIY spirit, in order to support each other through this trying time. We hope this series will only be a temporary endeavor and we can return to the IRL drinking and dancing we miss so much. ⚠️ Strict protocol will be followed. Mask wearing and maintaining social distance will be followed. Before the live broadcast, performers and staff will be checked for body temperature and all equipment and surfaces will be disinfected.
