    【#好文重温】認識成長與蛻變的美好

    今年是國際兒童文學大師艾瑞·卡爾(Eric Carle)90歲大壽，也是其成名作《好餓的毛毛蟲》(The Very Hungry Caterpillar)50周年紀念，此創作繪本全球發行超過5,200萬冊，被翻譯成62種語言。被譽為「圖畫書界的色彩魔術師」的他，多年來共創作七十多本璀璨色彩的兒童繪本，銷量共超過一億本，陪伴近一個世紀幾代小朋友成長。

    我與兒子一直都是Eric Carle忠實粉絲，床頭長年放著一大堆Eric Carle的作品作睡前故事。兒子擁有的第一本書，就是其契媽從澳洲空運到港的巨型版《The Very Hungry Caterpillar》，至今仍愛不釋手。它不但讓孩子學會數字、顏色、星期、水果、食物、大自然的生命周期，以及許多形容詞、量詞、名詞等新詞彙，還讓他們認識到成長與蛻變的美好。除了《The Very Hungry Caterpillar》外，要數我和兒子的第二及第三最愛，應該是《The Mixed-Up Chameleon》(混亂的變色龍)及《好慢、好慢、好慢的樹懶》(Slowly, Slowly, Slowly, said the Sloth)。前者告訴我們，讓孩子「做自己最好」(I wish I could be myself)；後者則提醒我們，每個孩子都有他的本事、他的生活方式、他的特性、他的需求，父母該了解、尊重及欣賞，並給予他們慢慢成長的空間。

    而屬於父子倆近來的最愛讀物，肯定是《畫一個星星給我》(Draw me a star)及《爸爸，我要月亮》(Papa, Please Get the Moon for Me)，它讓畫畫變成父子之間的浪漫事，畫得對不對，畫得像不像，根本不重要，重要的是，在親子共讀或親子共畫的過程中，原來可以很棒的、很溫暖的、很美好的、很漂亮的、很可愛、很珍惜！
