Fire Department’s Mascot Becomes Parody
.
Summary:
Apparently, the Hong Kong Fire Services Department decided that a no-face dressed in a blue skin-tight garment would be a suitable representation of “anyone” in its most recent fire and emergency rescue awareness campaign. While its effectiveness remains to be seen, “Anyone” has carried out its PR duties well by becoming a subject of parody in the online community, being tweaked to make silly and often crude gestures.
.
Language Enhancement:
e.g. My brother and I parodied a scene from last night’s soap opera.
e.g. Some would say that Cho-lam Wong essentially built his acting career based on parodies. —————————————————
