【這句】英文怎麼說？

rug是「地毯」，有人猛不防扯掉你腳下的地毯， pull the rug out from under someone 類似中文「扯後腿、拆後台」，阻撓某人。

😡完全的意見不合😡

這是第一次我們真的意見不合而且無法達成共識。昨天我越講越生氣，但我家玫瑰花真的很知道怎麼讓我消氣，他抱著我說他理解我的想法（但是他沒有要退讓），我們可以之後再決定。所以目前的共識就是暫時擱置，晚點再來決定。

到底是什麼事呢？答案是客廳的地板處理方式。他無法接受laminate floor，好，這我可以接受你把它拆掉。但是拆掉後的處置方式我們達不到共識。他想要的是整個客廳空間用原始的樓地板鋪上一塊幾乎覆蓋整個空間的rug。（rug跟carpet中文都是地毯我還是寫英文比較清楚，rug是可移動的，他要的當然只能是伊朗/土耳其的純手工編織羊毛地毯。carpet專指固定在地板上，拿不起來的那種。）

但我們沒有多的獨立房間可以當餐廳，客餐廳是共用同一個完整的房間。我 #極度反對 放任何軟地板在餐桌區！這根本自找麻煩！現在的餐桌下面就是我們上次去約克買回來的rug，每次小玫瑰吃飯掉飯粒難撿得要死！飯粒有黏性用掃把或吸塵器都不對，只能用手撿，地毯的花紋又根本看不清楚飯粒在哪裡，只能用手摸。我家玫瑰花試著提出一些沒建設性的建議，例如留給他下班回家撿之類的。哪有可能放在那邊等到他回家？他回家之前小玫瑰肯定滿屋子亂竄把飯粒帶到各處都是了好嗎？

他提出另一個解法是另外買一塊便宜的、可機洗的rug蓋在用餐區保護下面的大rug。我還是反對，一來沒解決問題，布類放在用餐區就是麻煩。再來這樣做根本浪費錢，花大錢買一塊地毯然後把地毯的一部分半永久性的遮起來幹嘛？這種手工地毯跟鑽石一樣，越大越貴而且不是等比增加。一克拉的鑽石價錢比兩顆0.5克拉的鑽石加起來還貴的多，地毯也是，要買那麼大塊的地毯，價錢會比買兩塊小面積的還要貴很多。

如果地毯只鋪客廳區的話，用餐區保留原來的樓地板我也不太能接受。原來的樓地板狀況沒好到哪，重點是地板間縫隙很大，很容易卡東西進去。我們現在住處的樓地板就是這樣，有好幾個洞小玫瑰一天到晚把棍子戳進去，還有的地板因為以前屋主要安裝管線還什麼的，在不應該被切斷的地方被切斷再釘回去，踩起來會有點移動。對我來說，原始樓地板就不是一個可以大面積露在外面的選項。

我想要的是全室裝木地板，所有我喜歡的他都不喜歡覺得太現代。他唯一考慮的是採用人字拼法的實木地板，我覺得太老氣，但如果是他唯一可接受的木地板選項我跟他說我願意妥協。但是他其實真的不想要有新地板，而我是真的想要有新地板！

最後我們的結論就是睡覺吧！地板可以不用急著現在就下決定，還有很多其他事要做先做。
