    【四大極地最終站 – 南極洲 D1賽況&D2預告，南極時間11月22日00:45】
    昨日11月21日D1賽程於南極時間11月21日晚間7點半，以12小時比賽時間結束。
    Stage1繞圈賽以14公里為一圈，開賽的第一圈前四位選手不分軒輊，皆在差距15分鐘內完成。賽道經過俄羅斯、烏拉圭與智利和中國的科學研究站，路況為積雪不深、但較濕滑的軟雪路面，持續12個小時比賽時間，彥博完成87.2公里暫居第四。
    首日完成最長距離者為美國選手Kyle, 緊追在後的有瑞士選手Filippo及義大利選手Andrea, 分別名列第二、三。美國女性選手Jax為第五名次。
    [註]此次南極賽事因天候環境限制，每日競賽規則與以往不同，為固定比賽時間內，記錄選手”最長里程數”，6天賽程內累積最長里程者則為冠軍。且因地形影響、安全因素考量，賽道皆為繞圈賽，於不同地點/島嶼進行，酷寒氣候、固定風景與重覆的賽道須持續12~7小時，非常考驗選手的身心耐力。

    D1前五名中彥博與Filippo和Jax皆為一年內連續挑戰四大極地之大滿貫選手，疲憊的身體和心理壓力將在最終站結束後得到釋放。

    11月22日D2賽程預告：Stage2將移地到特來豐海灣Telefon Bay的迪塞普遜島Deception Island(火山島地形), 比賽時間為7個小時，於南極時間早上9點起跑(台灣時間晚上8點)。

    The first circuit of Stage 1 has been completed in 1 hour 10 minutes at 08:40 local time in Antarcitca (same time as Ushuaia, Argentina).

    2. Jax Mariash from the United States (1st female!) - just a few minutes behind
    FIlippo Rossi from Switzerland, Tommy Chen from Taiwan and Andrea Girardi from Italy were all with 15 mintes of the leader Kyle.
    The Stage 1 circuit is 14kms. One the circuit competitors will pass by the Russia, Uruguay, Chile and China research stations. Conditions are mainly soft snow, but not too deep. It is quite wet / slushy in a few places.
    Stage 1 concluded at 19:30 - after exactly 12 hours. Everyone is now safely back on the expedition ship to warm up in hot showers and a full dinner.The furthest distance completed was 91.4km by Kyle McCoy.
    STAGE 2 PLAN:
    Competitors are now sleeping as the expedition ship sails another 8 hours through Antarctic waters to Telefon Bay on Deception Island. Another long day of running of 7+ hours is planned for tomorrow.
    Stage 2 is planned to start by 09:00 on Tuesday, 22 Nov (local time in Antarctica - the same as Ushuaia, Argentina).
