<八個同義字系列(1)- 廢除、抹去、消滅>
喬今天要分享的是八個與廢除/抹去/消滅相關的字彙，這是最近喬看些政治法案相關文章常遇到的字彙，在此與各位同學整理做分享：

◆abolish (V.) 廢除; 廢止
[to end an activity or custom officially]
e.g. I think bullfighting should be abolished.
我認為應該廢止鬥牛
e.g. National Service was abolished in Britain in 1962.
英國的國民兵役制度於1962年廢止

◆obliterate (V.) 徹底毀掉; 抹去; 覆蓋(使不留痕跡); 忘卻; 抹掉(想法or感情)
[to remove all signs of something, either by destroying it or by covering it so that is cannot be seen]
e.g. The missile strike was devastating – the target was totally obliterated.
這次的導彈襲擊是毀滅性的 – 目標蕩然無存
e.g. All of a sudden the view was obliterated by the fog.
突然之間霧氣淹沒了這片風景

[to make an idea or feeling disappear completely]
e.g. Perhaps she gets drunk to obliterate painful memories.
也許她喝醉酒是為了忘卻痛苦的往事

◆countermand (V.) 取消; 撤回(命令); 重新發佈(命令)
[to change an order that has already been given, especially by giving a new order]

◆abrogate (V.) 正式廢除; 廢止; 撤銷
[to end a law, agreement or custom formally]
e.g. The treaty was abrogated in 1929.
該條約於1929年廢止

<”殺戮”同義字整理>
喬每次看社會版都看到很多”殺戮”相關動詞，於是靈感一動今天想要整理一份”殺”相關的同義字字彙整理區。這應該不算過於負面吧XD，一直用kill到很膩了嗎？各位同學們一起來學習殺戮的同義字吧！

slaughter (n.) (尤指戰爭中的)屠殺; 殺戮
[the killing of many people cruelly and unfairly, especially in a war]
例: Hardly anyone in the town escaped the slaughter when the rebels were defeated.
判斷份子被擊敗後，鎮上幾乎沒有人能逃過隨之而來的大屠殺
例: We must find ways of reducing the slaughter which takes place on our roads every year. 我們必須設法減少每年因車禍而造成的重大死亡

butcher (n.) 肉商; 肉販
[a person who sells meat in a shop]

massacre (n.) 大屠殺; 殘殺
[an act of killing a lot of people]

annihilate (V.) 徹底摧毀; 消滅; 毀滅
[to destroy completely so that nothing is left]

exterminate (V.) 根除; 滅絕; 消滅
[to kill all the animals or people in a particular place or of a particular type]
例: Once cockroaches get into a building, it’s very difficult to exterminate them.
一旦屋裡有了蟑螂，就很難徹底消滅

execute (V.) (依法)處決; 處死

eliminate (V.) 排除; 根除; 清除

decimate (V.) 毀滅; 大量殺戮; 大幅削減
[to kill a large number of something, or to reduce something severely]
例: Populations of endangered animals have been decimated.

mow down (V.) 殺死; 撞死(某人)
[to kill people, usually in large numbers, by shooting them or driving a vehicle into them]
例: Three shoppers were mown down this afternoon when a drunken driver lost control of his car.

cut back/down (V.) 減少; 削減; 縮減
[to do less of something or use something in smaller amounts]
例: The government has announced plans to cut back on defence spending by 10% next year.

[to kill in a violent way]

【素食第16道】素食蔬食「彩色繡球」│素食蔬食「彩色绣球」│Steamed Colorful Balls

材料:
素肉醬、紅甜椒、青椒、黃甜椒、芹菜、薑末、太白粉

調味料:
鹽、香菇粉、白胡椒粉、香油、太白粉水

作法:
1. 將紅、青、黃三種椒分別剖開、去籽後洗淨，切小丁，然後各自辦上１小匙太白粉待用。

2. 素肉醬加入香油１小匙及薑末拌勻後擠成小丸子狀，再分別沾黏上不同顏色的甜椒丁，全部完成後放入蒸鍋，用中火蒸約１５分鐘即可取出排入乾淨的盤子裡。

3. 最後把芹菜摘除葉子，洗淨後切末，再用少許油爆香，加入200cc的水，用大火煮滾後加入鹽、香菇粉及胡椒粉調味，然後用太百份水勾薄芡，起鍋前滴入香油即可淋在蒸好的菜色繡球上。

【素食第16道】素食蔬食「彩色绣球」│Steamed Colorful Balls

材料:
素肉酱、红甜椒、青椒、黄甜椒、芹菜、姜末、太白粉

调味料:
盐、香菇粉、白胡椒粉、香油、太白粉水

作法:
1. 将红、青、黄三种椒分别剖开、去籽后洗净，切小丁，然后各自办上１小匙太 白粉待用。

2. 素肉酱加入香油１小匙及姜末拌匀后挤成小丸子状，再分别沾黏上不同颜色的 甜椒丁，全部完成后放入蒸锅，用中火蒸约１５分钟即可取出排入干净的盘子里 。

3. 最后把芹菜摘除叶子，洗净后切末，再用少许油爆香，加入200cc的水，用大 火煮滚后加入盐、香菇粉及胡椒粉调味，然后用太百份水勾薄芡，起锅前滴入香 油即可淋在蒸好的菜色绣球上。

Ingredients:
vegetarian meat paste, red bell pepper, green pepper, yellow bell pepper, string Chinese celery, minced ginger, cornstarch

Seasonings:
salt, shiitake mushroom powder, white pepper, light sesame
oil, cornstarch solution

Methods:
1. Halve the three color peppers open and discard the seeds, then rince well and dice. Seperate in three bowls and add 1T cornstarch in each bowl to mix well with the peppers.

2. Add 1T of light sesame oil to vegetarian meat paste along with minced ginger added. Mix well and squeeze into small balls. Roll around in peppers to make diffrent color balls. Repeat to finish all and steam in steamer over medium heat for about 15 minutes and remove to serving plate.

3. Discard leaves from Chinese celery string and rinse well, then mince. Heat a little oil in wok and stir-fry minced celery until fragrant. Pour in 200cc of water and bring to a boil over high heat. Then add slat, shiitake mushroom powder and pepper to taste. Thicken with cornstarch solution and drizzle with light sesame oil, then drizzle over the steamed three color balls.
