這週Sonny老師
到了新營高中教授寫作微課程
提及了台灣學生
普遍會有的英文寫作 4 大弱點
分享給大家！

要寫出好英文，必須謹記：

1. topic sentence ✔️
段落中的主題句 (topic sentence)
要盡量 #具體明確 (specific)
避免籠統模糊 (general) 的敘述

例如：
In this essay, I want to talk about something very important.
這個句子
讀者無法馬上看出寫作重點
就是不好的主題句

反之
It requires certain characteristics to be a competitive CEO.
這個句子明確指出
要談的是「強大 CEO 的特質」
就是比較好的主題句

2. logic 💬
必須跳脫中文式敘述邏輯
明確點出 #句子間的邏輯關係

例如：
I got bad grades. My dad was really angry.
（我考得很爛。我爸很生氣。）
是中文式的敘述邏輯

英文必須說成
My dad was enraged when he saw my grades.
明確點出「考爛」和「爸氣 (?)」
兩件事之間的邏輯關係
才能讓英美人士讀懂

3. collocation 👫🏻
學習英文和記憶單字時
盡量以 #搭配詞 而非單詞為單位

例如：
看到 hone（磨練）
我們可以留意
hone my English skills（磨練我的英文技巧）
看到 boost（提振）
我們可以留意 boost our economy（提振我們的經濟）

這樣一來
才不會腦子裡都是零碎的單字
要寫作時不知如何搭配，功虧一簣

4. redundancy ✂️
#有意識地揪出冗詞 並刪除

我改過不少同學的作文
會出現這樣的句子：
My girlfriend greets me with an unexpected surprise.
Those who join the club today will receive a free gift.

那個···
surprise 如果不是 unexpected（未預期的）
就不叫 surprise 了吧 XD
然後禮物本來就是免費的啊！

我們長期養成的寫作習慣
讓我們忍不住
就想加一堆形容詞和副詞
（比較有安全感？）
但其實很多都是可以省略的！

因此在寫完文章時
建議檢查一下
每個字詞是否有存在的必要
能刪減的就盡量刪減
才能寫出簡潔有力的英文

輕量化觀念是檢討需要與多餘，放下“預備用”的想法，實實在在利用每一次上山所攜帶的裝備。Who says that lightweight camping need to sacrifice comfortable ?

這次行程我與 Casual愷穹戶外運動工作室C.O.S的紅牌嚮導小蘇一起帶隊落實輕量化。
隊員個人背包重量標準為十公斤以下，此次冠軍為5.8公斤。

🤤晚餐酸菜白肉鍋，有豬肉🐷有蝦🦐有蛤粒。還有甜麵醬炒烤鴨🦆。新鮮葡萄🍇為飯前甜點。還有我喜愛的每日C果汁。❤️
我們倆的背包平均重量為八公斤。而我也不覺得犧牲了安全，或是委屈了胃。

此趟所有攜帶出門的裝備，無一被擱置，全都有使用到。
正餐食物，乾乾淨淨吃完沒有廚餘。唯行動糧（糖果）剩了一半以上，71公克多餘重量。

不要被喜愛追求極端的輕量魔人嚇到了，建議大家可以試試看檢視自己裝備。
減輕背包重量會讓登山更輕鬆更安全。😘

Dinner food all be finished. Only candy left more than half, 71 grams of excess weight.

Don't be scared by person who loves to pursue light-weigh extremes.I suggest you try it and look at your equipment.
Reducing the weight of the backpack will make climbing easier and safer.😘
