Today is International Women’s Day. On this day each year, we acknowledge and celebrate women, and recommit ourselves to help them achieve their needs and aspirations.
This year in particular, we are Celebrating SG Women. This campaign will champion women and their role in shaping Singapore, and the indelible mark they will leave in our future. The goal is shaping a more equitable and inclusive society, and a culture of mutual respect for all.

🐅 #世界老虎日 #受武漢肺炎疫情影響的老虎保育工作
老虎已經不再是森林之王——畢竟，目前世界上大多數老虎都生活在保護區當中，而保護區的經營，則是實現保育目標的關鍵。
2010年，13個分佈有野生老虎的國家所組成的「老虎高峰會」，曾經許下這樣的雄心壯志：在2022年，也就是下一個虎年 ，讓 #現有的野生老虎數量翻倍。簡稱「Tx2」目標（Tiger乘二）
然而，#世界自然基金會（WWF）#全球老虎生存計畫（Tigers Alive Initiative）最近訪談77名來自老虎分佈國家共40座保護區的員工，發現這些保護區受到 #武漢肺炎 （COVID-19） 影響，正面臨營運經費縮減的問題。

#疫情影響經費
超過50％受訪者表示，與疫情延燒之前，經營保護區的經費減少
約75％受訪者表示，對未來的預算分配感到悲觀
約62%的受訪者認為，他們未來管理保護區的能力堪慮
#森林護管員加班還要被扣薪
在大部分老虎分佈的國家中，「森林護管員」的角色對於有效保育棲地與物種非常關鍵。但當各國受疫情衝擊，護管員的工作便受到額外加諸的工作內容，像是邊境控管、駐守健康檢查站等。
除此之外，來自23%保護區的人員也指出，他們的薪水遭到裁減，基本補給與配備也都被中斷提供。社區參與保育行動，也在許多受訪人員工作的保護區中中斷。
以上種種現況都令人擔心，武漢肺炎疫情是否使得老虎保育工作更加艱困。
