They can choose to fly to origin of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19)—Wuhan, China, to Live in Mobile cabin hospital(方艙醫院)and dormitory, or choose to comeback to UK to be infected with the virus and die at home, so they don't need to pay £6.25 (US$7.44=NTD250) which can go to heaven very quickly without pay any money which is free. It is not the time to travel abord, the rule of Taiwan: foreign travelers required to follow home quarantine can pay to stay at the group quarantine facilities if they do not have other places to reside in.

This couple told to our government: they no money，our government arrange to stay at Staff Dormitory no charge!!

Everybody loves eggs, so how about some more egg idioms this week? 每個人都喜歡吃蛋，所以這週我們繼續來談更多的蛋。

Remember the expression “tough/hard nut to crack”? Well, 1⃣ “tough/hard egg to crack” has exactly the same meaning. Ex: For many language learners, English is a tough egg to crack.
還記得之前介紹過的tough/hard nut to crack「難搞的人事物」嗎？呃，把nut換成egg也是一樣的意思：For many language learners, English is a tough egg to crack.（對許多英語學習者來說，英語還蠻難搞的。）

Eggs are probably one of the easiest things to cook—just plop them in a pot and boil for three minutes. 2⃣ So if someone “can’t boil an egg,” it means they’re a bad cook, or can’t cook at all. Ex: Lots of millennials can’t boil an egg.
蛋大概是最容易料理的食物──只要把蛋丟進鍋中煮個三分鐘就好。所以，萬一有人是can’t boil an egg「連水煮蛋都不會煮」，那他一定是位很糟糕的廚師，或者根本沒有下廚天份。如：Lots of millennials can’t boil an egg.（許多九年級生連水煮蛋都不會。）

If you’ve read Aesop’s Fables, you know the story The Goose That Laid the Golden Eggs. A farmer owns a goose that lays a golden egg every day, and thinks there must be a big lump of gold inside it. So he kills it and cuts it open, only to find no gold. 3⃣ “Kill the goose that laid the golden eggs” therefore came to mean to destroy a source of wealth through stupidity or greed. Ex: Why would he quit his civil service job? That would be killing the goose that laid the golden eggs.

Speaking of goose eggs, 4⃣ a goose egg can also mean a score of zero in a game/contest or on a test. Ex: I got a goose egg on the quiz this morning. And finally, 5⃣ “lay an egg” can mean to fail in a publicly embarrassing way. Ex: The teacher tried to tell a funny joke, but he laid an egg.
提到goose egg鵝蛋，在英文裡也可以指競賽中沒有獲得任何分數，也就是中文的「零分，拿鴨蛋」意思。如：I got a goose egg on the quiz this morning.（我今天早上小考考了零分。）最後，lay an egg原本指「下蛋」，也可以延伸為「在公共場合下出糗，搞砸事情」，如：The teacher tried to tell a funny joke, but he laid an egg.（那位老師本來想說個笑話，但他搞砸了。）

1. plop「扔」：當動詞。
2. millennial「千禧年世代」：指西元2000年左右出生的一代，相當於台灣的九年級生。

近月，香港各處也充斥著催淚煙的氣味，無論大街小巷、商場食肆，或是屋村屋苑，甚至是婚禮場所，都無一倖免。撥開這一層白茫茫的霧霾𥚃頭，是市民的眼淚、市民的驚恐、市民的痛苦，甚至是市民的鮮血。

一直以來，我們婚禮界堅信及擁護香港的法治精神，但鑑於警察行為已經失控，出現大量濫權、濫捕、濫暴情況。相信這是我們，亦是你，更是大眾所不能接受的！

在良知的驅使下，即使我們如何努力地保持專業，也是很有限的，尤其是在警方濫捕及濫暴香港市民的同時，我們已經不能容許自己在婚禮上再給他們送上微笑祝福！縱使我們深信世上有好人壞人之分，警察也有所謂的黑與白之別，但我們更需要的，是公平、公正的去分辨服務對象！

因此，我們現在嚴正聲明：

在成立獨立調查委員會之前，所有警務人員的任何喜慶節目，一律不再接受預約！

以上是我們一班婚禮從業員的心聲，希望能為香港我們這個家，盡一點綿力；以及將一直以來的核心價值包括公平、努力、包容、相愛，好好保護下來。而且我們更希望，香港不同階層、不同行業、不同身份的左鄰右里，也可以一齊加入、一齊加油、一齊罷接警婚！

［ Joint Declaration from the Hong Kong Wedding Industry ］

We believe in the Rule of Law spirit. It has been disheartening to witness the recent police brutality events, where certain Hong Kong Police members have abused their power, tortured, publicly humiliated, and arrested the innocent.

Unfortunately it has come to the point where it is no longer viable for us to provide our genuine blessing to any clients from the Police force during their wedding, as incidents involving potential police misconduct reoccur on a daily basis. We can no longer turn a blind eye to such events.

There has been a notable lack of commitment from the Hong Kong government to address the current violation of civilians’ rights. Therefore, in order to uphold the values we believe in, we declare that: before an Independent Commission on Policing can be properly established to lay criminal charges against the police officers involved in misbehaviour, and to ensure those who committed a violation of human rights are brought to justice, we will no longer accept any reservations from the Hong Kong Police force with regard to any celebratory events.

Motion: 香港大學應在必修的中文增補課程教授簡體字 / Simplified Chinese characters should be taught in Practical Chinese courses of HKU

The Annual Debate is a special Council Meeting held for the purpose of involving Union Members in the Council's discussion of University and student affairs. It takes place publicly which does not only allow Members to observe the proceedings of the Union Council but also to take part in the debate. The Motion this year concerns the compulsory Chinese Language courses for local students which is not only closely related to the academic interest of students but also the debate of Chinese Language culture. We hope to have your voice heard in the Annual Debate.

周年辯論為香港大學學生會評議會為讓會員參與校政學生事務等議題討論的特別會議。會議於開放空間舉行，讓各學生會基本會員不單能了解評議會會議流程；更能就議案各紓己見。本年議案涉及本地生必修之中文課程，影響學生學術表現外更論及中文文化的議題。期望在周年辯論中聽到你的聲音。
