Wine Pairing 101: Regional Food Goes with Regional Wine
To prove the theory works, I made Provençal roasted chicken and paired with @puech.haut Tête de Bélier Rosé from Languedoc, France. The verdict? 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This rosé is made with 99% Mourvèdre and topped with 1% Grenache in the blend. Scented with tangerine peel, red berries, savory herbs, and some salinity on the nose, this wine is full-bodied, lavish, and ample, but lithesome on the palate. So refreshing and inviting. 💕
You may think it’s a safe bet, but local food evolved to harmonize with local wine and this is just a perfect example.
