2018年18歲的莊凌芸參加歌唱選秀比賽，在3000人海選中晉級成「海選猛獸」成功踏上演出舞台。也因為清亮的嗓音，讓老師及觀眾留下深刻的記憶。
從選秀節目中畢業後的她，參與了網路短劇演出、節目錄製，也一直在做她最喜歡的事情-唱歌。
18歲因為『#讓我為你唱情歌』而開始受到注目的清亮女聲『莊凌芸』；在成年的21歲，帶來了一首屬於自己的作品『下次遇見再相愛』。

在不平靜的2020年，Transition前進樂團挾帶全新原創單曲《 起走》強 勢回歸。
長年穿梭不同場域，不斷地將英搖正典與華語流行的豐富元素層層交疊，
前進樂團擅長從各種維度的生活經驗中提煉出全然原創的跨域思維，這首
先發中文單曲正是驚艷的結晶。
主唱Jesse、鼓手Josh與前團員Niall因這首歌再次合體，卻因疫情分隔三 地:英國Bristol、 台灣台北 、英國Cornwall。令人驚喜的是，純熟編曲 為骨幹、濃烈聲線的開展、 乾淨歌詞使之平衡， 套上獨立又互相依存的 全新創作模式，意外建構出遼闊空間感，讓人得以悠游於音樂的疆界中。
受惠於疫情在台灣控制得宜，MV順利取景於花東縱谷與墾丁，謝謝台 灣!
回頭看，前進樂團在創作上的膽識與成熟度 路獲得好評，更因《對不起 我的中文不好》 曲誤打誤撞開啓了中文歌曲教學的領域。路，就這樣被 走了出來!透過網路，前進樂團的創作有幸被不同國籍的學生傳唱著。這 次經由《 起走》，樂團進 步與英國當地學校合作，邀請正在學習中文 的同學們同步參與MV合唱。
後疫情時代， 前進樂團期盼用滲透人心的旋律打破時空與文化藩籬、完 整詮釋其深沉內在的世界觀。在這高速運轉的2020，跟著前進樂團的音 樂， 起走。
Transition launch a powerful new song this autumn! With haunting melody and evocative theme, it’s a song for a troubled world: Journey Together.
The band have pioneered cross cultural music for many years, producing and performing original material in Mandarin, fused with Western rock traditions. They had always set themselves to explore cultural boundaries, and this new song is a great example.
Covid 19 restrictions have required Jesse, Josh and Niall北極熊 (who returns for this new single) to film and record on two sides of the world: Jesse and Niall in Bristol and Cornwall with Josh in Taiwan! Thanks to Taiwan’s effective management of the pandemic, film locations in Taiwan include the beauty spots of the east rift valley in Hualian and Taidong, as well as the beaches of Kenting.
Transition’s music has been learnt in schools teaching Mandarin all over the world. With this song, the band enlisted students from several schools in the UK to join in the chorus refrain, filming and recording wherever they were, in whatever state of restriction or lockdown. A journey together.

”Dance Monkey Dance!”
這首《猴籠》改編自澳洲歌手 TONES AND I 的 Dance Monkey，由新銳作詞家奶六填寫中文歌詞。”Dance Monkey Dance!” 原本在西方社會，就有種表達對表演者予取予求的調侃現象！『像隻猴子跳舞給我們看吧！』這是一個反思的過程，卻透過舞曲表達一種意識，相當酷！故歌名思議，『猴籠』象徵表演者，常常在為了娛樂觀眾的時候，像籠裡的猴子一樣，不能做自己！蕭敬騰選擇了這首歌翻唱，為有時無奈的藝界人生，做一個有趣的描述！
有別於以往，蕭敬騰較少嘗試的 Dance-pop 曲風，在編曲上以 disco 節奏為基底，搭配大量80‘s年代合成器音色做為主要鋪陳。主歌前半以鋼琴搭配蕭敬騰沈穩渾厚嗓音，營造出表演者演出前的蓄勢待發，直到吉他切分音的出現，正式拉開表演序幕。歌曲中段 Breakdown 部分，將整首歌情緒瞬間壓低姿態，緊接而來的副歌，再次引爆高潮！讓所有聽眾也不自覺的舞動身體！歌曲尾段則採 fade out 的方式做處理，象徵猴子永不停歇的跳舞人生！

華府智庫昆西治安研究所（Quincy Institute）民主外交政策計畫執行人克里夫頓（Eli Clifton）於17日發表《台灣金援智庫：無所不在但很少揭露》（Taiwan funding of think tanks: Omnipresent and rarely disclosed）一文指出，台灣金援了美國五大智庫，促使這些智庫向美國執政者建言，做出有利於台灣綠營執政政府的美國政策。該文發出後，台北經濟文化代表處政治組組長趙怡翔緊急在推特上指出，該文有錯失之處，且並未向台北經濟文化代表處查證置評。
文章稱，台灣金援的五個華府智庫包括布魯金斯學會、美國進步中心（CAP）、新美國安全中心（CNAS）、戰略與國際研究中心（CSIS）以及哈德遜研究所，都有來自於台北經濟文化代表處的資金，但都將其深埋在其年度報告中。這五個華盛頓最著名、看似公正的的智庫一直在發表政策文件，敦促美國與台灣建立更緊密的關係，擴大美國與台灣的武器銷售和貿易協定，卻沒有廣泛披露其背後來自台北經濟文化代表處（TECRO）的高額資金。
支持台有助民主自由
文章詳列台北經濟文化代表處對五大智庫的贊助金額，及這些智庫收到贊助後為台灣做了什麼。文章稱，布魯金斯學會學者於2019年12月為《台北時報》撰文，指出美國兩黨支持在台灣和美國的重要性；美國進步中心研究員在今年3月分《華盛頓月刊》上發表專欄文章稱，加強美台關係將有助民主自由，並在2019年9月發表《如何支持亞洲的民主與人權》報告時，直接向美國決策者「為如何穩固支持台灣」提供直接建議。
而新美國安全中心向華盛頓提供有關2020年《中國崛起的挑戰》報告時，敦促美國決策者優先考慮與台灣的雙邊投資和貿易協定；CSIS在5月發表前美國駐港澳總領事唐偉康（Kurt Tong）的文章，其中主張美台達成貿易協定，將能加強美國在亞洲領導地位。
倡售台集束炸彈抗中
哈德遜研究所則於5月向美國決策者提出售台「集束炸彈」，以便台灣可以威脅對中共具有重大政治價值的非軍事目標及領導人，並建議鼓勵台灣有效威脅中國的非軍事目標。還鼓勵美國決策者「做出直接有利於台灣綠營執政黨的政策」，敦促美國決策者承認「一個自治或獨立的台灣」。

Why not disclose?
Hudson may be the most extreme in its policy proposals, but the consistent behavior from the five think tanks is unmistakable: General support funding from Taiwan’s government is never disclosed when experts, whose salaries may well be partially funded by TECRO dollars, offer policy recommendations regarding U.S.-Taiwan relations.
“My philosophy is that if you’re producing any report, you should put right up front in an acknowledgment section that lists the specific funders, including general-support funders, that helped make this report possible and list any potential conflict of interest with the funders,” said Freeman of the Foreign Influence Transparency Initiative. “Let the reader judge for themself whether there’s a conflict of interest.”
Though the appearance or possibility of a conflict of interest does not mean that the funding flows from Taiwan influenced the work products produced by the think tanks, the decision not to prominently disclose the funding may undermine otherwise valuable analysis and policy proposals.
“It seems like because they hid it, they have something to hide,” said Freeman. “When the public trust in government is at all-time lows and people think D.C. is so corrupt, it’s even more important for think tanks and think tank scholars to put this information out there and try and restore the trust of the American public.”
Indeed, as acceptance of a cold war posture toward China becomes ever more accepted as a foregone conclusion by Washington influencers, one of them actually highlighted the danger of foreign funding going largely undisclosed.
CNAS’s 2020 report that advocated for a U.S.-Taiwan trade agreement warned of think tanks receiving “substantial funding from Beijing that is often targeted at shaping views and discourse on China.” CNAS recommended “higher degrees of transparency” to help “ensure that this funding is not generating hidden forms of foreign lobbying, self-censorship, or other activities that undermine core U.S. democratic principles.”
That self-awareness about the potential influence of foreign funding, and the ethical arguments for greater transparency, does not appear to extend to the omnipresent funding stream from Taipei to think tanks across the Beltway.

Taiwan's Academic Sinica（中央研究院） has synthesized monoclonal antibodies that are able to identify the protein of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), an important step in the direction of producing a rapid screening reagent for the fast spreading pathogenic virus.
The potential reagent, if successfully mass produced in the future, will shorten the test for the new coronavirus from about 4 hours to 15-20 minutes, significantly improving screening efficiency, the top academic research institution in the nation said in a statement on Sunday.
Yang An-suei (楊安綏), an Academic Sinica research fellow at the Genomics Research Center who heads the research team that achieved the synthesis, said the key for rapid screening to work lies in the relevant reagent being able to identify the new coronavirus accurately.
In just 19 days, the team produced 46 monoclonal antibodies, each at least one milligram in size, based on seven human coronavirus nucleocapsid protein antigens, according to Yang.
He said one of the antibodies demonstrates "perfect" efficiency in identifying the new coronavirus because it does not react to other members of the coronavirus family, including those that cause Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS), or other respiratory diseases.
Academia Sinica President James Liao (中央研究院院長廖俊智) said the data will be placed on the COVID-19 platform the institution built to share information with domestic academic and science research institutes, to speed up the development of rapid screening kits, drugs and vaccines to combat the deadly epidemic.
Yang's team "achieved the goal two months ahead of schedule," Liao said.
Assisted by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the research team will hold talks with several companies about the production of rapid screening kits based on its research results, according to Academic Sinica.
If everything goes smoothly, mass production could begin soon after the Ministry of Health and Welfare verifies and approves the reagent, within the next 3-4 months, the institution said.
There have been more than 100,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases in over 80 countries and areas, including Taiwan, with 3,000-plus deaths, since the disease was first reported in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China last December.
