2021-06-22 18:42:47I am a 100% Cantonese. Both late Grandfathers came from China Guangdong Province. Growing up with my late Grandma aka Poh Poh was one of the best things since I was born. She inspired me a lot in many ways. She was quite a cook too. Being a Cantonese, soup is a must in our daily meal. She cooked the best soup ever. She used charcoal to cook soup in a clay pot. OMG, I really do miss my late Poh Poh's sweet dessert soup aka Tong Shui too!! So I really want to share her recipes slowly but surely with u all. This is one of the easiest tong shui she cooked for us. Let me show u how.
Ingredients for 6 small bowl servings:
. 18 water chestnuts, peeled and chopped
. 2 eggs
. rock sugar
. 1.5 litres of water
. pandan leaves
You can serve it warm or cold.

只有熟客才能摸上門一肥婆咖哩麵
“今日去食肥婆咯！”

這些對白還真不要惹人誤會，哈哈，不過，這是公司內例常對話，以前公司就在肥婆咖哩麵的山坡下，開車一分鐘內到，所以是同事們吃咖哩麵的唯一選擇，不會吃其他家。
公司搬離大同去了康樂，也是常轉來打包或午餐，跟客家婆的肥婆混得夠熟。
肥婆其實叫Christin，今年48歲，在大同一帶賣雜飯和咖哩麵超過20年，早年當然不叫肥婆，主要是熟客叫的，然後她也覺得容易記又親切，所以就以此為招牌。
“早年是先做雜飯，搬來搬去有段故仔啦，有血有淚，很辛苦，這些就不要講啦。”
“這裡大慨做了14年，當時實在也是沒錢，選了這個地方開始做生意，賣雜飯後兼賣咖哩麵。”
如果你去過找肥婆，你會以為自己不知道去了哪，這麼一間偏僻又山旮旯的小店，有好吃的咖哩麵？這裡根本不會有行人經過，不開車爬上山坡也不會知道，反正就是很不起眼。
“當年是沒有選擇，最後就在這個地方開始做生意，然後全靠顧客一個傳一個，介紹過來吃，MCO也是，因為有很多熟客找上門來吃，或者是打包，我才能繼續做下去。”
Christine坦言，這個疫情期間沒有堂食，靠的全是熟客撐場。
她說，現在還未開放堂食，主要是人手不足，一旦沒有做好SOP，或者員工確診，那更是得不償失，所以盡管只做打包很不容易，咬著牙也要撐。
“我們沒有亂亂走，買菜讓人批貨上門，成本都要貴很多，但為了安全也是沒辦法，否則就會影響整間店了。”如今，Christin是一家三口在店內工作，沒有任何外勞。
我自己是這裡的常客，吃了好幾年，最愛點咖哩排骨河粉乾撈加螄蛤，另外再要一碗咖哩湯，我的吃法。
這次採訪就點咖哩麵啦，還是咖哩排骨，加螄蛤，為了拍照好看，我還棒著這碗咖哩麵店前店後跑，反正最後這碗是我吃的，哈哈
這裡的咖哩麵啊....太大碗，湯濃料多sambal也好吃，海南茶也是，如果是住附近的歡迎打包，暫時還未開放堂食哦！
