Just thinly sliced it then dip into soy sauce with wasabi on the side. ​ ​ It’s a perfect appetizer to serve on a hot summer day. No need to turn the stove on. 😉​ ​ Then I poured a glass of @vinscolombo Cape Bleue Rosé to accompany the dish. ​ ​ This rosé made with 67% Syrah and 33% Mourvèdre is definitely not shy both on the nose and palate. Wow…​ ​ Seductive notes of rose and violet petals exuding from the glass, followed by strawberry, melon and with a hint of pink peppercorn. ​ ​ Juicy, vibrant with marked acidity, this rosé is so refreshing and enchanting. Today, let’s taste rosé from Sicily and Portugal. 🇮🇹🇵🇹 ​ ​ @planetawinery, a benchmark Sicilian producer, encompasses 6 wine estates in 5 regions on the island of Sicily. Made with equal parts of sustainably grown Nero d’Avola and Syrah, the ’20 Planeta Rosé offers red berries, cantaloup, and white peach both on the nose and palate. Refreshing, delightful with bright acidity and finished with hint of pink peppercorn and rose petals. It was established by Annette Borell and Thomas Diehl, the husband-and-wife team, in 1990. Practicing dry farming and sustainable viticulture, as of 2018, their wines are certified vegan by the European Vegetarian Union.  ​ ​ Made with 100% Saint Laurent, the wine exhibits seductive rose petals, red berries, and honey glazed sour cherry. It’s dry on the palate with racy acidity, stony minerality and a hint of pink peppercorn lingered in the back. ​ ​ ​ Oh… did I mention this Rosé comes in 1L bottle and it costs less than $15?
