#'94年にカプコンが稼働させた、AC用対戦型格闘作品であり、シリーズの3作目。画面の奥行きが削除され一対一の対戦（初代でいうシングルモード）のみとなった。
飛び道具の追加、しゃがみ・攻撃ガード等の格闘要素が追加、フォールを削除等の特徴がある。キャラデザインは引き続き原哲夫氏。
BGMは阿部氏をはじめ当時のカプコンクリエイターが共同作曲。
