《3+11報告抱歉，施政報告傲驕》
蘇內閣，罹患精神分裂症？

九月十七日，行政院「3+11專案報告」，僅用十二頁的報告，草草敷衍八百多條人命。報告中提到，「迅速應變，妥善決策對應，這是多麼不容易。」「台灣在亂世中的第二次防疫奇蹟。」在野黨立委強力杯葛，社會輿論譁然。

蘇貞昌院長不敵民意壓力，終於在今天提出「3+11專案報告（補充報告）」，希望能在今天站上立法院的備詢台。蘇貞昌並在報告中提及，「基於對生命的尊重，對於每一條寶貴生命的消逝，我都深感遺憾與抱歉。」「對各界的指教，我們都會虛心檢討、持續改進。」

但令人難以置信的是，同一時間，蘇貞昌的「施政報告」內容卻是，「在蔡總統領導下，行政院團隊全力以赴，全體國人上下一心，團結抗疫，經濟發展蓬勃，成為舉世滔滔中的幸福之地。」「所以（台灣）能在百年大疫中，被世界看見，被國際肯定。」

難道，蘇內閣，罹患精神分裂症（思覺失調）？同一天的兩份立院報告，對於疫情，居然會有天差地別的差異。

超過800條寶貴的生命消逝，800個家庭無法再享受中秋團員之樂，800位不幸往生者，只能草草火化，無法莊嚴離去。在蘇貞昌的眼中居然是「幸福之地。」

BBC、彭博、CNN痛批「自滿的政府」造成疫情的破口，經濟學人評比生活「正常指數」（normalcy index），台灣在全球50大經濟體中排名倒數第2，這樣的國際負評。在蘇貞昌眼中居然是「被世界看見，被國際肯定。」

TVBS民調，蘇貞昌的施政滿意度早在去年十一月，就呈現「死亡交叉」，八月份的最新數據，更跌到僅剩35%創下新低；而蔡英文的施政滿意度也持續處於低檔的37%，穩定在「死亡交叉線」以下。在蘇貞昌眼中居然是「蔡總統領導下，行政院團隊全力以赴的結果。」

精神分裂症典型的病徵是「分不清現實跟幻覺」。人民只能用手中的一票，1218「選票革命」，對這個失去知覺與思覺的無能政府，投下不信任票。

🌻Adobe(ADBE)電話會議內容讀後感

ADBE前兩天發表財報了.

這次ADBE在財報後下跌, 主要是兩個原因(如下). 不過個人覺得是瑕不掩瑜:
1. 因為之前已經漲了不少(投資人期望太高)
2. 因為Digital Marketing這部分的業務受到季節性的影響, 所以表現不是很突出(沒有比預期高出很多)
a. net new Digital Media ARR (3% beat vs guide, vs 15% beat in 2Q21 vs 35% beat in 3Q20).
b. 有分析師在問(“Maybe just -- can we double-click on the seasonality commentary in the quarter? Because if we look at the beat versus guidance on net new digital media ARR, it looks, at the same time you had the weakest beat, but then the strongest guide in the last three years, which kind of speaks to and confirm some of those seasonality comments that you made.)
i. 高層對此的回答是, 主要是疫情後, 加上正值夏季, 大家的日子回復到正常&放假外出, 所以這部分的業務有受到影響(I think going into the quarter, we had expected that the consumer with a little bit more return to normalcy as what's happening in the environment.)
ii. 高層又說了一些話, 不過重點就是他不認為這是甚麼大事”So, net-net, I would say that the growth prospects for that particular business and the growth drivers remain intact. But again, very much in line. And this is what we feel good about the insights that we're getting on the business.”
iii. 也提到, Q4通常會是digital marketing業務的旺季(表現會不俗的意思)

另外, 覺得這次令我印象深刻的是, 當高層與分析師提到這些事情:
• 常在一些公司的電話會議中提到omnichannel這個字(疫情後, 更明顯了). 這次高層也有提到. ADBE可說是omnichannel概念股:
o “I mean, a big part of that is more and more companies are thirdly doing the multi-channel omnichannel, whatever they want to call it. And I think that's only going to continue to be a driver of our Digital Experience Solutions. Because today that stable stakes and so we just look at it and say whether you're shopping in-store over they are shopping online. You need a solution that treats you like a customer that we know of.”
• 網路上影片(video)的興起, 以及串流影音, 有提高了Adobe的營收天花板(用句分析師的術語, 就是TAM (total addressable market) expansion.
• 當使用者製作了越來越多的內容, 內容管理(content management)的能力就越顯重要, 內容上的流程管理(workflow)也越顯重要. Adobe的產品能夠幫內容製作者解決這樣的問題.
• 而Adobe各產品間的相容性, 標準化, 整合能力, 是它的競爭優勢之一:
o And one of the things we did really well is what we called our named user deployment and how, you know, when we have these enterprise licensing agreements, we offer enterprises the ability to download and distribute within the companies. And the more we do training and evangelism of the products, that leads to adoption. So, I would say there's an element of standardization, there's an element of more content.

而最近ADBE有個新聞, 引起了我的注意, 就是它即將在自己的平台上, 提供付款服務(payment service). 根據之前研究SHOP的經驗, 這有可能會對股價造成一定的漲幅:
On Sept. 15, Adobe announced that it will add payment services to its e-commerce platform this year to help merchants accept credit cards and other ways of paying. The move will deepen Adobe's rivalry with e-commerce firm Shopify (SHOP).
For the service, Adobe has partnered with PayPal (PYPL), which will process a variety of payment types, including credit and debit cards as well as PayPal's own payment and buy-now-pay-later offerings.

🌻我喜歡的Apple TV影集, "Ted Lasso", 是這次艾美獎的大贏家, 很多主要演員都得獎了.

很高興這兩年, 因為有這部戲的陪伴, 讓我撐過了疫情, 家人離世, 以及一些烏煙瘴氣的事情.

前幾天看演員的得獎影片, 一位娛樂記者問得獎的男配角(也是編劇之一)說, 你覺得這部片的核心思想是甚麼. 他說, be curious, not judgemental.

就像得獎的女演員在劇中一開始是很鴨霸很壞心的球隊主人, 但這樣做是因為被前夫傷透了心, 所以想要弄垮離婚後分到的財產(也是前夫的最愛--球隊); 外表看起來永遠陽光燦爛做啦啦隊的男主角, 在青少年時父親自殺, 造成了他心裡永遠的痛&障礙(讓他在球賽時, 會有突發恐懼症).

我們每個人其實都有很多面, 很多個故事. 尤其在社群, 大家都是萍水相逢, 對彼此的了解都是非常片面的; 而有時候在社群裡, 看到有人會因為只看到一個面向, 就去下斷語. 這其實是人之常情很難避免, 所以我們需要常用第二層思考去提醒自己. 社群裡需要更多的同理心.

疫情的生命週期有如一場棒球賽

最近西方資本主義兩大媒體對台灣十分不給面子，彭博社對台灣的防疫靭性度給第44名，英國的「經濟學人」則對我們回歸正常（Normalcy）的評價為倒數第二名。民進黨政府及陳時中團隊故做鎮定或表示不以為意，國民黨的江啟臣和羅智強雖有意引用這兩篇報導評判當局，但色厲內荏，自知自己沒有資格批評。因為朝野不分藍綠貴賤有志一同地不認同三級警戒微解封，日前有超過90%的民意反對解封，「民之所欲，常在我心」，此時，政府如果一舉解封，才是不折不扣的大傻瓜！不過，細看三級警戒解除要件如附表，其實，我們都已經達標，陳時中卻說「應該還要謹慎」！其中玄機，我苦思的結果，有兩個模式可以用來解釋。(一)棒球比賽、(二)人民的基本核心價值。為免文章過長，今天先談棒球賽：

(1)去年2月開始的疫情，西方世界的表現慘不忍睹，先發投手苦撐5局，失分約在6～9分。

(2)目前疫苗開打，正式進入下半場，中繼及終結投手必須不放火、不崩盤，打者應密集安打或靠長打，扳回失分，打成平手後進而贏球。

(3)台灣從開始到今年5月上旬，一直有完美比賽(Perfact Game)的架勢，直到5月15日破功，病毒安打上壘，進而攻進二、三壘得分位置，但未得分。

(4)昨天，日本的「經濟亞洲」給台灣第83名，因為，毫無疑問的，美、英、日三大國不約而同地以棒球賽後半場的眼光看台灣，但我們朝野一致停留在上半場的心態，希望我們的先發投手一路「嘉玲」到底。

(5)完美比賽已經破局，但仍然希望退而求其次，完成不失分的完全比賽(Complete Game)，卻忘了光靠不失分，只能完封，卻不能完勝。

這個球賽模式只能部分解釋當下社會的集體心態，不足之處且聽下回分解。

The global outbreak of novel coronavirus has shaken up the world and many of us are being forced to let go of the life we are familiar with. Those who are infected with the virus were first treated as victims, but now they are considered as victimizers, a threat to others, and are feeling unnecessary indignity and distress in the process.

Not knowing who is infected, including ourselves, creates and spreads fears that lead to bigotry and discrimination pitting one community or one nation against the other. Fears that the whole nation may be put in a state of chaos and paralysis are causing all sorts of social disruptions such as hoarding facial masks and other supplies or the rise in racist sentiment including hurling abuses and refusing entry to restaurants and public facilities. Fear, hatred, and cruelty of human beings seem more terrifying than the virus itself. That is why I strongly believe that it is necessary to remain calm, get facts right, and reach out and help each other.

We and the supporters in China discussed and decided to create a song for Chinese people living in anxiety and fear, and I immediately started to work on a piece, hoping to help in whatever way possible. The work is now finished and we decided to distribute it for free in China. And this music and video is now available for streaming in other countries as well.

In the process of creating this piece of music I recognize that this is a song for not only Chinese people but also Japanese and all the people around the world who are fighting the threat of COVID-19.

There is only so much what music can do, but I believe that many of us find solace in music. As I wrote in the lyrics to this song, I truly hope that when the outbreak winds down and normalcy is restored even if we are not totally unscathed, we will be able to laugh about it with our families and friends. Until then, we are going to hang in there.

世界的な流行をみせる新型コロナウィルスの流行にともない、多くの人が普段とは違う生活を強いられています。本来「被害者」であるはずの感染者は、いつのまにか「加害者」へと見られ方を変え窮屈な想いをしながら日々を生活しています。どこに感染者がいるか分からない、自分が感染しているかもしれないという恐怖が伝播し、それは地域単位、国単位の差別的な偏見をも助長させます。社会機能の麻痺や混乱が来る恐れから、あらゆる歪みも生じてきています。マスク、生活用品の買い占め、特定の人種への迫害、心ない言葉、飲食店や公共施設などへの立ち入り拒否。ウィルスよりも恐ろしいのは人間の恐怖心や憎悪、冷酷さなのかもしれません。こんな時こそ冷静な判断、情報収集、そして手を取り合う心が必要なのではと強く感じます。
　今回、中国でお世話になっている方々から「中国で不安な生活を送る人たちを励ます曲を作ってはもらえませんか」と提案を受けました。ぜひ力になれるのならばと、急いで楽曲の制作に入りました。そして今回完成にこぎつけることができ、無料で中国内の皆さんへ配信することを決めました。
　曲を作りながら、これは中国の方に向けたものであると同時に日本、そして世界中でウィルスの脅威と闘うすべての人に向けた曲だと感じました。そして今回、他の国々でのストリーミングと映像の公開もできることになりました。
　音楽にできることはとても小さいです。でも時にその小ささに救われることもあるのではと、僕は思っています。歌詞の中でも書きました。この事態が無事終息し、無傷ではなくとも平穏な日々が戻ってきた時には「あの時は本当どうなるかと思ったね」と笑いながら皆大事な家族や友と話ができたらいいなと心から願っています。その時まで、皆で頑張り抜きたいです。

Since 2008, Daniya Subramaniam, a young dog rescuer has rescued and re-homed more than 200 dogs and 30 cats through her friends and network on Facebook.

Like Daniya, there are many other independent animal rescuers who have a day job like everyone else but spends most of their spare time and savings rescuing homeless, stray and abused animals from cruel authorities and animal abusers.

They bathe, feed, provide them with shelters and above all, they give them love and heal them from the fear and pain of having been abused.

Like Daniya, another rescuer from Kajang, Puspha Rani, a young mother of two, has been rescuing many unfortunate stray, injured and sick mongrels. She spends a fortune spaying, neutering, vaccinating them for years.

What drives them? What moves them to halt at highways and dash across the street to rescue an injured puppy? What makes them work twice as hard just to feed homeless animals? What motivates them to drive for miles daily to feed neglected dogs on farms? How do they maintain a normalcy in life doing extraordinarily self-sacrificing gestures for the sake of extending some sense of normalcy to the creatures of earth?

This an extraordinary story of two ordinary girls doing extraordinary work.
