You can barely find traces of protest when you step into the campus of CUHK. The campus, which was once full of anti-government posters and graffiti, was so “clean” and peaceful as if nothing had ever happened.
Exactly 2 months ago, on 12th November, the campus was soaked with almost two thousand rounds of tear gas. The battle between students and the police was so intense that no one can stop it, even the Vice-Chancellor of the University. The traffic jam to the university was huge, massive part of Hong Kong was mobilizing to go to CUHK to help out. Meanwhile, chaos all around Hong Kong to divert police’s attention.
The occupation of the university lasted for 5 days and the semester was forced to end early in mid-November.
HongKongers are known to be forgetful, especially when work is busy, but please don’t forget when had happened in 2019. Don’t forget why you choose to stand up and don’t forget that millions are standing with you. #香港人加油
