Mật ong Manuka là một loại mật ong đặc biệt chỉ được sản xuất tại New Zealand và Úc từ mật hoa của cây Manuka. Hoa Manuka có 5 cánh trắng muốt tinh khôi đẹp thanh tao như hoa mai, hoa mận… Tuy nhiên, điều làm cho loài hoa này trở nên nổi tiếng là con ong khi hút mật từ hoa Manuka đã tạo nên một thứ mật ong hảo hạng có tính kháng khuẩn cao nhất cùng rất nhiều lợi ích vượt trội so với các loại mật ong thông thường. 🌿THÀNH PHẦN:
- MGO là chữ viết tắt của chất Methylglyoxal tìm thấy trong mật ong Manuka, Hệ số MGO cho biết nồng độ của Methylglyoxal có mặt trong mật ong Manuka.
- Methylglyoxal (MG) là một nhân tố kháng khuẩn được tìm thấy trong hầu hết những loại mật ong trên thị trường, nhưng chỉ dừng lại ở hạn mức rất nhỏ. Tuy nhiên, với mật ong Manuka, MG lại xuất phát từ việc chuyển đổi một hợp chất có tên khoa học là dihydroxyacetone, hợp chất này được tìm thấy ở dạng cô đặc trong mật hoa Manuka. Độ cô đặc của MG càng cao, khả năng kháng khuẩn càng mạnh.
- Hydrogen Peroxide trong mật ong Manuka đóng vai trò như là rào chắn nhằm ngăn chặn tạp khuẩn xâm nhập vào mật ong, vì thế mật ong Manuka luôn ở tình trạng tinh khiết nhất có thể.
