Our Magic 繁體中文版-魔術師的魔術

魔術師的魔術將在下週三3/25晚上八點開放大家預購，Juan Tamariz在他的著作《The Five Points In Magic五點》裡面就提到Our Magic這本書被譽為是魔術理論的聖經，裡面有許多關於台詞、練習、表演、舞台習慣、個人以及心理態度等非常棒的觀點，絕對值得你去學習和研讀，即使是歲月的流逝也無法掩蓋其鋒芒；這本書依然是一本頂級讀物！今天就來聊聊這本書的內容吧！

【《魔術師的魔術》在談什麼？】－ 搞怪魔術帽 Hate My Hat Magic
這本書的開宗明義就表示：
「作者們希望能夠透過這本書當成起點，有朝一日讓社會大眾正確理解魔術，並且讓魔術愛好者跟觀眾們都能對魔術有正確的認知、觀念。」
作者們認為「大眾深信是為了要解決謎題、挑戰觀眾的觀察力，這種錯誤觀念可能需要花上數年的時間才得以消除。」
想想，百年後的今日，不也仍然如此嗎？
縱使大眾對於魔術的觀感有所提升，但仍然有為數不少的人（大眾）認為「秘密」是最重要的。
也有不少剛開始學習魔術的愛好者們，都還認為「秘密」是最重要的⋯⋯
甚至，連學魔術好一陣子，也許已經可以被稱作「老手」的愛好者，仍然在「不停地」學習新魔術，找尋、收集那所謂「終極秘密大招」。
但實際上這是緣木求魚，因為真正的秘密並非如此。
「重點在於技巧與道具操作在魔術藝術中的呈現」
「技巧與道具本身，相對來說影響較小，因為兩者充其量
只是展現魔術師的發明能力，而透過技巧與道具去營造的出來的效果，才是重點。」
這也跟我在Lukas Class學到的觀念很類似，課堂上其實不會教什麼很酷很炫的手法、招式，反倒都是教一些教學片有的手法，但是我們學的是「如何用這些手法去呈現出神奇的效果」，這其中的「如何運用手法、道具的方法」，才是真正重要的。
「希望在未來某一天，路上隨意一位行人都知道魔術師所謂的「秘密」，其實就像演員的假髮、臉妝以及其他「妝容」一樣，都是為了上場表演所做的「準備」。
一如化妝之餘演員，對魔術師而言，魔術道具是讓其在台上表現得像「魔法師」一樣的方法。故魔術道具在所謂的「登台必需品」方面，比起演員的妝容，來得更難為大眾所了解。也因為如此，大眾才會誤解魔術師的表演自始至終皆有賴於道具，但事實是這些道具不過是魔術師的工具而已。」
「魔術師的表演藝術並不在於使用的道具、掌握的魔術機密，或是技術程序之中，而是在於能夠有效地運用這些事物。」
我想，這也是現代所有學習魔術的人們、愛著魔術的人們，所缺乏的，因為這很少有人會教學甚至提及這個方面。
大部分的魔術教學談的還是「How」而不是「Why」，但是「Why」才是最重要的。
而說到「Why」，過去這一百年來，確實還是有不少好書提及，如Dariel Fitzkee的三部曲（魔術腦、魔術師的表演術、魔術的錯誤引導），但如果你跟當年的我一樣也有買所謂「中文版」的話，你會發現翻譯極其難閱讀⋯⋯
這主要是因為書籍年代久遠，所使用的英文跟現代英文有所差異，所以造成翻譯困難，這也是為什麼這本《魔術師的魔術》曠日經久才準備問世⋯⋯
最後補充一點，因為這本書的作者常常用不同單字去形容類似的事，比如「手法」他可能就會用兩個不同的英文單字去形容，而我們的專業翻譯團隊堅持以最專業的方式去翻譯，盡可能避免「超譯」的狀況，所以你會看到像是「操縱技巧」「手法」，或是其他類似的狀況發生，這並不是翻譯們不用魔術師常見的「中文術語」，而是為了尊重原作。
所以這本書如果真的要讀懂，就必須要專心閱讀，才能從上下文完整判斷出作者想要說的。這也算是促進讀者在閱讀時的思考力吧！
最後，《魔術師的魔術》可以說是「魔術藝術的理論」始祖之一，年代也比Dariel Fitzkee的三部曲還要早。本書所提及的範圍非常廣闊，當然這本書不會是100%正確，但它確實能夠讓你用更全面地角度去理解魔術。
我相信，這本書能作為一個契機，讓魔術圈能有更多良性正向的循環。
