This transmission has been titled 2020, The Eye Of The Storm.這次傳訊的標題為《2020，暴風眼之年》
We would at this time like to get a little bit serious with you現在，我們要和大家聊一點“嚴肅serious”的東西
Not the star system so much倒不是“天狼星Sirus”那麼嚴肅Serious
But have what would amount perhaps to be a Heart-To-Heart可以說是“敞開心扉，傾心相談”的嚴肅Serious
For what's coming up is very important, in terms of your timing.因為即將發生的事，從你們的時機看來，非常重要！


We have said that your year of 2020 is a pivotal point in what you call your history我們曾經說過，2020年，是你們歷史上的關鍵年


You are shifting through a very particular moment, crossing a very particular threshold.你們正在經歷 一個非常特殊的時期，正在跨越 一個非常特殊的門檻

And it is of paramount importance that you remain, if you wish to be on a certain train, in the eye of the storm, where it's calm, where peace and solitude rains,所以，如果你希望坐上某列火車，如果你希望待在暴風雨的中心，處在一個寧靜和平，可以怡然自樂、悠然自得的環境裡


where even though you may see the storm raging all around you, swirling around you, thundering and lightning all around you.即使你可能看見四周烏云密布、電閃雷鳴、狂風暴雨、席捲八方

初讀Dylan Thomas的"Do Not Go Gentle Into that Good Night"是在就讀比較文學研究所期間，恩師李達三教授說這是他最喜愛的詩作之一，他知道我有創作英文詩，因此推薦我，並鼓勵我多嘗試中英文詩的翻譯。我一讀之下，非常喜歡這首作品，這首詩無論在意象、音樂性甚至情感上都非常飽滿，本詩亦被電影《星際效應》所引用。詩中對於死亡的恐懼與親人即將離世的不捨與抗拒描繪地深刻無比。隨著年紀漸長，對詩中所述有不同之體會，我所讀過的中譯版本裡，最喜歡陳黎與張芬齡的翻譯。譯詩之難，在於語言轉換的過程中，如何不流失音樂性與情感力道，而陳黎與張芬齡以典雅、簡潔的中文，將上述兩者保持在譯作中，是極佳的翻譯。

2014年電影《星際效應》（Interstellar）熱映，片中反覆出現的湯瑪斯名詩〈不要溫柔地走進那良夜〉一時廣為流傳。這是湯瑪斯寫給兩眼變瞎的老父之作。全詩形式嚴整，用語驚人卻又精準壯麗，渲染力強。一開始，詩人把一般人視為負面事物的死亡與黑暗比做「良夜」，顯見他接受「人皆必死」之現實，但他請求父親即便身陷絕境，也不可溫柔地向生命道晚安，即便在日暮之年也要盡情燃燒自己，表達抗拒命運的激情與悲憤。在第二到第四節詩，他以智者、善者、狂者、沉重者四種人的生命態度鼓勵父親做生命鬥士。智者覺得自己此生未曾留下如閃電般驚人之論，死神當前，仍不願輕易就範；當生命最終之浪拍岸，善者覺得此生善行仍嫌脆弱，不足以在歷史的海灣留下美麗身影，對生命之光將熄發出怒吼；狂者如夸父追日虛妄度日，最後覺悟生命流逝如稍縱即逝的陽光，悔之已晚，仍想抗拒死亡；瀕死的沉重者即便視覺退化，兩眼依然閃現渴望生存之光，企圖拒斥目盲之事實。在最後一節，詩人力勸父親挺住，以頑強的姿態面對殘酷的病痛與生命的挑戰。

奇幻動畫之旅：〈譯夢機〉
致，那些無法入睡的人們

一部長篇動畫、一座無法入眠的城、一位被製夢能力困住的人......

我做了一場夢
在夢裡 成為一個移民
片段的訊息 囈語般 翻譯著語意
呢喃地唱出 我睡著？還是醒著呢？

被失眠所困住的呢喃者在路上，尋找著作夢的方法，他們來到了製夢所，有製夢能力的主角，在製夢所裡，不停的製造夢境，失眠的人因著他的貢獻，再次得了夢。同一時間，在製夢所外，有個躲藏的製夢人，不願讓大家知道他的能力，卻在不經意中，開始與失眠者的追逐……七分多鐘的歌曲，分為四個章節，透過不同的章節，看見夢境與能力者的轉折；在夢與夢之間，試著用囈語翻譯那些片段的語意，誰也沒有想過，製夢者的能力，因為沒有受到獲益者的回應，終將接近乾涸……

人如浪潮的餐廳
街邊的野貓

連閃電般的噩耗
多年來的惡意
都無驚喜地 如預料般發生

有知覺 無窮極地追
我思念 吹灰於瞬間
我唇間 包圍以安眠
我的雙手 靠近我的眼

這世界 加上了你 緊接再將你 減去
我們發現 每一個我們 並不特別
也因此發現 「我們」才這麼特別

通過一首歌
找到了和我 做同一種夢的人

夢是相反的 也有人說

想見
誰看
絕緣
不絕

我聽到他們 說我睡著了
我醒著嗎？
