新守谷駅（しんもりやえき）
関東鉄道。常総線。
1982年（昭和57年）3月27日　住宅・都市整備公団（現在の都市再生機構）が、常総ニュータウン整備の一つとして駅西側で住宅開発を行い、その「街びらき」の時期にあわせて開業。当時の住所は北相馬郡守谷町大字立沢1873番地3。
1983年（昭和58年）5月1日　南守谷駅から当駅間が複線化される。
1984年（昭和59年）11月15日　当駅から水海道駅間が複線化される。
1985年（昭和60年）5月24日　駅所在地の住所表記が北相馬郡守谷町御所ケ丘一丁目1番地1に変更。
1991年（平成3年）1月29日　新守谷ステーションライブラリー開設。
1997年（平成9年）「関東の駅百選」に選定される。選定理由は「赤瓦のとんがり屋根が美しい、図書館がある駅」。
2002年（平成14年）2月2日　市制施行にともない、駅所在地の住所表記が守谷市御所ケ丘一丁目1番地1に変更。
2004年（平成16年）9月29日　新守谷ステーションライブラリー（関東の駅百選認定の理由となった駅併設の図書館）閉鎖。
2009年（平成21年）3月14日　ICカードPASMO供用開始。
2010年（平成22年）9月1日　一部時間帯（10 - 16時）が駅員無配置となる。
2019年（平成31年）3月28日　駅改札外の東側を結ぶ連絡橋「きずな橋」が開通する。
2019年度の一日平均乗降人員は2,701人。

磯子駅（いそごえき）

1964年（昭和39年）
5月19日　日本国有鉄道（国鉄）根岸線が桜木町駅から延伸開通し、その終着駅として開業。
6月1日　高島線全通に伴い貨物取り扱いを開始。
1970年（昭和45年）3月17日　根岸線が洋光台駅まで延伸。
1986年（昭和61年）11月1日　貨物取り扱いを廃止。貨物ホームの他に日清サラダ油横浜磯子事業場へ続く専用線も存在していた。
1987年（昭和62年）4月1日　国鉄分割民営化に伴い、東日本旅客鉄道（JR東日本）の駅となる。
1997年（平成9年）7月　特急はまかいじ号が磯子駅発着まで延伸。2001年から2002年11月までは鎌倉駅まで延伸される。以降は横浜駅発着に戻るが、本駅まで回送後折り返され横浜駅へ向かう。
2000年（平成12年）11月2日　改札内にエスカレーターとエレベーターが設置される。
2001年（平成13年）11月18日　ICカード「Suica」の利用が可能となる。
2020年（令和2年）7月17日　みどりの窓口が営業を終了した。
2020年（令和2年）度の1日平均乗車人員は15,648人。

1944年（昭和19年）7月1日　運輸通信省青梅線 御嶽 - 氷川（現･奥多摩）間開通と同時に開業。旅客営業のみ。
1971年（昭和46年）2月1日　無人化。
1987年（昭和62年）4月1日　国鉄分割民営化に伴い、東日本旅客鉄道（JR東日本）の駅となる。
2002年（平成14年）2月8日　ICカード「Suica」の利用が可能となる。
2011年（平成23年）2月14日　新駅舎使用開始。
