    Lately I've been real busy again, I got many freelance, an enrich life, try to find an apt, find roommates, move, and preparing some surprise for the Never Tide readers, yes, I used a short name, because I'm lazy too 😝 and this surprise might make the English version of the manga an easier to accomplish goal, but we'll see, I'm always trying my best anyway! ;)

    Her, lost in translation.

    「我想任何談戀愛的人都是瘋子，這是件很瘋狂的事。談戀愛就像是社會認可的精神失常。」

    每隔一段時間，我都會把《Lost In Translation》（迷失東京）重看一遍。導演能將孤獨感覺刻畫得如此細膩，有種空靈的美好，鏡頭下那份淡淡哀愁似遠還近。當寂寞有時，手拿一杯紅酒或咖啡、坐下來靜靜觀賞細味，正好安撫心靈空虛。

    只有19歲的Scarlett Johansson稚嫩清純，足以讓人怦然心動，便是在那時喜歡上她。在才女導演Sofia Coppola的自編自導下，整套電影把迷失東京的游離尷尬表露無遺，又帶一點隔膜，恰到好處。唯一能與時裝扯上關係，是邀請到Marc Jacbos為整部戲設計服裝，全部度身打造，休閒中流露出一絲俏皮，完美展現上紐約下城風格。後來Sofia Coppola憑藉電影拿下獲奧斯卡獎項，身穿Marc Jacbos設計的黑色禮服，一度成為佳話，她與Marc Jacobs老友鬼鬼，更是他的靈感女神，我們留待下一篇再詳談。

    看完《Lost In Translation》後，你需要接著再看一部電影《Her》(觸不到的她)，尤其當你知道兩者的關係：Sofia Coppola與《Her》的導演Spike Jonze本是夫妻，結婚4年，2013年離婚，剛好是《Lost In Translation》上映的時候，從許多線索中，依舊可以發現兩部電影的關聯。比如《Her》城市設定在洛杉磯，卻特地遠赴上海取景，讓整部電影加重陌生與寂寞感覺，畫面更貼近《Lost In Translation》裏的東京；此外，電影的兩個主要女性角色Samattha與Catherine的第一個英文字母為「SC」，如同Sofia Coppola的名字縮寫；更巧妙的是，兩部戲均有 Scarlett Johansson 的出演⋯⋯

    Sofia Coppola自己也表示，這段婚姻離異有著濃濃的悲傷，兩人透過電影隔空對話，事隔十年，《Her》之中有封信是這樣的： Dear Catherine, I've been sitting here thinking about all the things I wanted to apologize to you for. All the pain we caused each other. Everything I put on you. Everything I needed you to be or needed you to say. I'm sorry for that. I'll always love you 'cause we grew up together and you helped make me who I am. I just wanted you to know there will be a piece of you in me always, and I'm grateful for that. Whatever someone you become, and wherever you are in the world, I'm sending you love. You're my friend to the end. Love, Theodore.

    ☀ 用模仿的方式學英文好嗎? I've never 還是 I never ☀

    很多喜歡唱歌、喜歡聽音樂的人喜歡用模仿的方式學習, 但要特別注意的是, 用這樣的方式學習，英文可能聽起來沒啥問題, 但實則大有問題。因為英文跟法文相似, 很多連音 (connected speech) 或是方便人類口腔發音所造成的消音, 一則我們的耳朵聽到的東西有限, 二則有消音現象, 過度依賴耳朵學語言, 會造成文法坑坑巴巴的現象。

    例如, 很多的學生在闡述"我不曾...." 的時候, 喜歡用現在簡單式說 "I never..."; 但分析下來, 這樣的不曾, 是從過去延伸到現在, 因此最正確該用完成式 "I've never pp."

    (X) I never want to hurt you.
    (O) I've never wanted to hurt you.

    但母語人士講這兩句話是很快的, 加上縮寫的have 耳朵不易察覺, 很多人因而學錯, 導致永遠都說 I never I never I never...

    不過要注意, 當時空被放到"過去"時, 時態由完成式變成過去式.

    Strangely enough, I never went to a sushi restaurant when I lived in Japan.

    Summary: 文法勿用耳朵學, 勿用語感學 (Your intuition is not completely reliable yet!); 用邏輯去思考會較紮實.
