Hi there,
Here are good news to share with you. My short film NARSTALGIA, which is a project concerning eco-grief and solastalgia in the Arctic, has been officially selected by ARFF Paris International Film Awards in the Global Awards; It's also been awarded as the Best Experimental Short in London Independent Film Awards and might be shown in the physical screening during the festivals next year. Besides, our team has converted the film to a projection mapping project, which won the 優秀賞, equivalent to the silver prize, of the Tokyo International Projection Mapping Awards, screening at Tokyo Big Sight on 14th November.
As the director, may I deeply appreciate all the excellent works of my team members: @ow.o the actress, @sam0980 the gaffer, @grain.sound the sound designer, and @boyuchen88 the graphic designer, plus the significant support from my lovely tutors: @yiyun_kang and @debbie.anzalone , and the interviewee: Þórhildur.
Most importantly, many thanks to all the people who have been helping me with the project.
This short film has a such highly international filmmaking process. A Taiwanese director with his team filmed in Iceland and Hokkaido, did the research and post-production in the UK, and the research itself is related to issues in Greenland and other countries in the Arctic.
They might not be top awards at all in the industry, yet it’s just a tiny step for me to become an international film director. I will keep on collecting those precious voices in the world, trying to tell those stories in creative ways. Again, cheers!
sincerely,
Robert

(The English version is below.)
