#吉娜單字教室 更新單字【exaggerate v. 誇張；誇大；對~言過其實】，這個單字非常實用，描述一個人講話很誇大，言過其實，有五個生活實用例句。美國老師發音慢速時[zæ]是發音[sæ]，你有聽出來嗎？我有跟Kim討論，她說她直覺上是這樣發音，也不知道為什麼，很特別吧！

女兒大班後因為學校開始教ㄅ ㄆ ㄇ，才對聲母韻母的拼音開始有些概念，我就順勢開始教她英文拼音（在這之前，女兒會自己唸故事書，但幾乎都是因為我重複唸很多次，她用聽的背起來的，她也是標準的先會聽會講後，才開始認字母和單字）。
最近她瘋狂愛上這本 100 Cats，我發現真的是很好練習自然拼音的一本好書呢！

很多同學都問過我非常初階的初學者，或是想要學自然拼音要看什麼類型的書或是什麼影片，我都回答「童書或繪本」，尤其是給學齡兒童的那種書最好。

「會不會太幼稚？」「會不會學到的英文都跟我生活沒關係？」

其實這就是一個選擇：
1. 看大人設計給大人看的初學閱讀文章，但無聊死或很內容依然很難，而且看完後直接放棄看下篇
2. 轉換心態帶著點童心看專為專注度低的小孩設計的內容，雖然有點幼稚但的確很有趣而且好上手

100 cats 這本書就是在講一百種不同的貓咪。
Purry cat, furry cat, fast and blurry cat.
Welly cat, smelly cat, eating from the bin.

Styled cat, wild cat, never will be tame.
Floppy cat, copy cat, looking just the same!

有沒有發現唸起來非常有音律感？而且同一段其實都是相同的韻母或拼音規則。
這真的是練習自然發音很好的教材，有趣不無聊，不知不覺女兒就自己唸完整本！

童書、繪本中其他常用的方法還包括：
1. 重複同樣一個句型進而延伸這個故事，最著名的例如 Eric Carle 系列（我兒子小時候也是唸了八百次 Do You Want to Be My Friend）。
2. 貼近生活的故事內容，帶出許多生活上的用字，我個人最愛莫過於 Peppa Pig、Ben & Hollys 等。

另外，你們知道 Netflix 上有可愛巧虎島的英文版嗎？可惜我小孩已經脫離巧虎時期，不然我一定每天放來讓他們聽/看。大人也可以看喔，裡面內容滿簡單的，重點是，非常貼近真實日常生活！
例如我剛剛和小孩看了一小段，巧虎的朋友們想要幫巧虎辦一個驚喜生日派對，於是到巧虎家找他媽媽。

桃樂比：It’s Shimajiro’s birthday tomorrow, right? So we were talking about what kind of party we could have for him.
琪琪：But it’s no fun having a normal party, so we decided to do something different.
妙妙：And that’s when we came up with a surprise party. We’re keeping it a secret from Shimajiro, so it will be a big surprise for him.
巧虎媽媽：Sounds so fun! I’m in!

短短20秒，就有超多可以學的地方，而且我完全可以想像這個情境發生在大人的生活中。

最後，這篇文章重點其實不是要推薦單一一本書，而是告訴廣大的初學者（大人們、小孩們、小小孩們），不要覺得一定要用專門用來教學的教材才能學習，有時候利用這些有趣的童書、卡通，也可以學到很多喔！

大家好，課程每天晚上8:30更新。這一課要學習的單字是【optimistic 樂觀的】。這個單字考試很重要，日常生活也很實用，把例句透過朗讀，只要次數夠，幾十次，甚至上百次，開口說英文真的不難。影片的單字有慢速和快速，注意[p]音，要用停頓的發音方式，不要發出聲音。做出發音的動作，但不要出聲，稍微停頓。

BroadBand with OPUS MUSIC ARTS and AL Studio join forces with singers to give them voices, speak out together for the things we cherish!


The theme song of the animated Digimon–Butter-Fly–is not unfamiliar to ears of the generation born in the 80s and 90s. This lively rock song of the Japanese anime features energetic, inspirational lyrics. The resonating chorus has also become food that feeds our soul.

We hope that through our performance, this positive energy will be spread to the throughout the world. Just like the animated "DigiDestined", we use music to create hope. This year coincides with the 4th anniversary of the death of Hara Sang Wada Mitsuji (2016/4/3), we hope to pay tribute to him by covering his work.

I had two roommates that kept eating all of my food. Although classes haven't started, I had already moved into my dorm. One day, I made myself a peanut butter sandwich. I put my sandwich on the table, and ten minutes later, it was gone. My roommate ate it. About a week later, I decided to make myself another peanut butter sandwich. I opened my cupboard and saw that my roommates left an empty jar in my cupboard. I flipped out because who eats a whole jar of peanut butter, without introducing themselves? These girls would scarf down all my food, and complain if they thought anyone was touching their food. So I started buying really fattening food such as doughnuts, pies, cakes. I was trying to teach them self-restraint, but these girls would go through these boxes within two days. So I kept buying doughnuts and desserts. And then one day they started complaining about how they couldn't fit their jeans. Success. I also put laxatives in my peanut butter.

It was move out day and my roommate was working on a paper last minute. I was packing my stuff. His parents walked in and were absolutely pissed that he wasn't packed yet. They immediately started scolding him while I was still in the room, but thankfully I had a final to go to and figured I'd dodge the storm. I said my goodbyes, assuming they'd be gone by the time I got back from my two hour final and went on my way. As it happens, my final only took twenty minutes so I got back much sooner than they'd have expected. I opened the door, saw my roommate bent over his bed with his bare ass showing just as his mom wound up for a spank. I quickly closed the door and went over to a friend's dorm until I felt safe enough to return. I never brought it up to him after that.

標題：Do you have a college roommate horror story?
I would like to hear your stories about terrible college roommates, if not for entertainment, at least for comparison. I'll start off. I go to a school where the students are a bit weirder than the rest of the country, and my roommate is considered weird, so that should give you an idea. As best I can describe, he was like a child, in a child's body, but with the age of someone in college. Don't get me wrong, the kid is brilliant… but he was terrible at life. I'll start the description in the way that I got to know him. He scratched, a LOT, noisily and mainly his face. He talked to himself, and not the “confirming things I need to do” kind of talk to himself, the Gollum to Sméagol talk to himself. He developed a horrendous snoring problem the week of finals. He was incredibly intolerant, as well as sexist. So if you have some good stories, share them!
