    #榮光歸上帝定香港 #MorganFreeman扮上帝又係僭越喇 宗教研究的學者朋友及宗教領袖，如陳雲提出：《願榮光歸香港》是僭越了上帝。他們認為榮光是只歸於上帝的。 我既不是神學專家，亦沒有自立宗派，我試圖由簡單的翻譯問題去切入，有錯請指正。

    因為聖經原文以希伯來語、亞蘭文及希臘文寫出，譯本只能夠盡可能地翻譯出聖經的原意。由於我不認識原語文的關係，我嘗試用King James的英文譯本與繁體中文和合本去比較。（香港其中一位認識這幾種語文的權威，相信是中大天主教研究中心主任的夏其龍神父。

    Too long dun read，因為文章太長，我將個結論寫在前面。無論「榮光」與「榮耀」在King James的英文譯本都只是用同一個字「Glory」。在和合本的中文聖經，「榮耀」是用於對上主的讚美，因此榮耀應該是歸於上帝的。但和合本在使用「榮光」時，可帶有物質性的意義，又或者是上帝的代名詞。因此榮光降臨人間，就有一種「願祢的國來臨」、「願祢的旨意奉行在人間。」的意味。加上，在《約伯記》中文翻譯了約伯曾經有「榮光」。不過，在「願榮光歸香港」這裏用「歸」字，就好像有少少主次不分。因此,個問題不是「榮光」誰屬，而是在於個「歸」字可改為「降臨」。

    －－長文開始－－

    在聖經英文版本裡Glory 這個字經常出現，但係在不同的意義上中文會翻譯成「榮耀」及「榮光」，在讚頌上帝是我們會傾向選擇用「榮耀」，如以下的經文：

    （約書亞記 7:19　Joshua 7:19）
    約書亞對亞干說：我兒，我勸你將榮耀歸給耶和華─以色列的神，在他面前認罪，將你所做的事告訴我，不要向我隱瞞
    And Joshua said unto Achan, My son, give, I pray thee, glory to the LORD God of Israel, and make confession unto him; and tell me now what thou hast done; hide it not from me.

    1992 年的某一天，當倫敦房地產市道處於低潮，前蘇聯的一個商人走進倫敦肯盛頓一間地產經紀行。他手中有一袋現金，與兩名夥伴以 20 萬鎊和 32 萬鎊的價格，買下了數座公寓。

    這是倫敦自蘇聯崩潰之後第一筆湧入房地產市場的前蘇聯現金，首開英國貿易史紀錄。

    從此在經濟金融世界湧現了一個新名詞，叫做 Moneyland。

    Moneyland 為世界各種見不得光的資金提供庇護場所。全球公認最大的兩個半 Moneyland 依次為倫敦、紐約，還有一個是佛羅里達州的邁亞密。

    德意志銀行 2015 年發表報告，指過去 10 年，由世界各地，特別是俄國和第三世界國家流入英國的資金高達 930 億英鎊，即近一萬億港元。

    這些資金絕大多數來自貪污腐敗的國家、貪官將子女和家眷隨著資金申領國籍，送入英國。許多情婦、官太、子女，住在英國，要得到居留權，不甘寂寞，手上現金豐厚，自然會付諸高消費。

    因此，這是一個 Steal-Hide-Spend 的跨國過程，簡稱 SHS。第三世界的貪官偷竊本國人民的血汗錢，窩藏在瑞士銀行，當瑞士的黑金過剩，下一個目的地是倫敦。然後人去到英國之後，即開始豪奢消費，這就叫做 SHS。

    #范冰冰 最大的錯誤，問任何一個中國市場上的人都知道：不是陰陽合同，而是有了上百億財產之後，人和錢仍不調出去。

    [詞彙區別] 同學們，在寫學術文章的時候是不是很難區分thus, therefore, hence？

    雖然這幾個字都是副詞，字義上也大致被認為是「所以」，可是用法卻有細膩的區別。

    ★★★★Thus★★★★

    1. Thus 的意思是「以這樣的方式」或「藉由如此」。

    “Thus” means “in this/that way.” It relates to “HOW” - the manner in which - how something happens or comes about.

    E.g. The university has drastically lowered its tuition, thus (in this way) allowing many more people the chance of higher education.

    2. Thus 另外一個意思是「因此」或「於是」。

    “Thus” also means as a result of something just mentioned. It, when used as a conjunctive adverb, is similar in meaning to “therefore.”

    E.g. It has been discovered that using scents can trigger the sensations of love, comfort, and happiness. Thus, the sense of smell can be used as strategy to invoke new responses in consumers.

    3. Thus far 的意思則是「到目前為止 」或「迄今」。

    E.g. He has invested $ 12 million thus far. He will most likely invest more in the future.

    ★★★★Therefore★★★★

    1. Therefore的意思是「出於某個原因」、「因為某個因素」或「建立在某個基礎上」。

    Therefore 前面的句子提供了證據支持某個結論，而該結論將出現在下一個含有 therefore的句子中。Therefore在數學證明中是常見的。

    “Therefore” means “for this reason,” or “because of this or that” - it relates to deductive reasoning, it tells WHY this or that is so, or happened.

    E.g. He was late and therefore (for this reason) missed the bus.

    E.g. There are frequent rock slides in that area. Therefore, no one is allowed to enter.

    ★★★★Hence★★★★

    1. Hence意思是「 因此」或「 導致」，字義是跟therefore相同，但用法不同。

    We suspect that the agency is trying to hide something, hence the need for an independent inquiry.

    在這邊hence後面並非連接子句，而是接名詞片語!

    2. Hence 在正式(科學)的文章可以當轉折詞，意思仍然是「 因此」。

    The cost of transport is a major expense for an industry. Hence(,) factory location is an important consideration.

    這邊逗號在正式寫作常省略掉。

    這三個字都有共同點，所以同學自然在使用時容易混淆，而且大部分母語者也分不太清楚這三者間的差異。但是同學在學術寫作時還是必須選擇適當的詞彙，才能精準表達自己的想法及觀點。若用字上不夠明確，很容易誤導讀者而失去原先欲傳遞的訊息。

    建議同學還是要分清楚這三字細微的區別才能更精準、有效、流暢地呈現文章的要點間的連貫。
