＜三体LAB X INSTINCTOY “Erosion 智子”＞
世界中で数々の受賞歴を持つ話題の中国人作家 劉慈欣によるSF小説の超大作『三体』とコラボレーションをさせて頂くことになりました。
今回のコラボレーションでは、INSTINCTOYの液体侵食Monster “LIQUID”が、『三体』の物語中では重要な役目となる生命体”智子(ソフォン)”に侵食し新たな文明の融合として誕生した姿を想像し、神秘的な作品に仕上げました。
また三体LABとのコラボレーションを記念して、INSTINCTOYのレジン作品 ICE LIQUID HELIXの三体限定色を制作いたしました。カラー名は”STARDUST”で宇宙に散らばる無数の星が虹色に輝いたカラーをイメージしてデザインしました。
事後報告となりますが、7月14〜16日には中国で開催されたLI©️ENSING EXPO 2021 上海にて、三体の世界観を演出した豪華なブースに試作品が初展示公開されました。
今後の関連イベントの開催情報や作品の詳細、販売情報等は後日改めて公開させて頂きますので是非ともご期待下さい。
We were invited to collaborate with the science fiction blockbuster "The Three-Body Problem" by Liu Cixin, a popular Chinese author who has won numerous awards around the world.
In this collaboration INSTINCTOY's liquid erosion monster "LIQUID" erodes "Sophon", who plays an important role in the Three-Body story, and fuses into a new civilization resulting in a mysterious looking work.
To commemorate the collaboration with the Three-Body LAB, we have produced a Three-Body limited color of INSTINCTOY's resin work ICE LIQUID HELIX. The color name is "STARDUST" and it was inspired by the concept of countless stars scattered across the universe, shining in rainbow colors.
Earlier in July from 14th~16th at the LI©️ENSING EXPO 2021 held in Shanghai, the Three-Body LAB also exhibited the prototype at their grand booth reflecting the world view of Three Body.
More news on future exhibitions, product details and sales information will be shared on the official Three-Body social media account account soon. Please look forward to it.

我們受到邀請，和中國科幻小說『三體』合作。這部由中國作家劉慈欣創作的科幻小說，已經在很多國家獲獎，並且擁有超高的話題度。
這次的合作是以INSTINCTOY侵蝕液態怪獸“LIQUID”，在侵蝕『三體』故事中重要的角色“智子”後，與新的文明融合為發想而誕生的設計，是具有神秘感的作品。
同時，為了紀念與三體LAB的合作，也特別製作了INSTINCTOY樹脂作品ICE LIQUID HELIX 三體限定色。配色名為“STARDUST”，靈感來自於宇宙中散落天際的星辰，彩虹般的閃耀。
7月14日～16日，在已經結束的上海LI©️ENSING EXPO 2021 中，三體LAB也以獨特的世界觀，在豪華的展位上初次公開了這次的合作作品。

【Startup Adventure】#AWE online meetups exchanged solid industrial knowledge💪❤️
#AWE The Academy for Women Entrepreneurs from 美國在台協會 AIT and MOEA’s #SMEA Small and Medium Enterprise Administration held a series of events last week, sharing industrial trends and exchanging best practices between 11 female facilitators and 133 outstanding participants.
On day 1, the keynote speakers were the leading e-commerce platform and social media platform, Shopify and Facebook. They shed some light on the trend and application of #B2C cross-border e-commerce.
To understand overseas markets better, the speakers in the best practice sessions have given some advice. Such as, in highly competitive industries like the “food & beverage” and “consumer products,” it is critical to fully utilize the e-commerce platform and analyze numbers to drive sales growth.
Day 2, the expert from LinkedIn shared how to identify #B2B potential clients online and build up client relationships.
From AR/VR to XR, bio-tech and manufacturing were the three industries highlighted in this session. The variance and in-depth industrial knowledge were indeed a mingle of tradition and invention!
On day 3, the speaker has taken us through the essence and decision-making focuses of venture capitals. In the sharing of the facilitators, the points were the enterprise solutions of carbon risk and how to build up a historical eco-system, to create business models for Taiwan.
These fruitful events have enlightened the participants with experience sharing, gaining knowledge of industry trends, exploring business opportunities, and obtaining funding guidance!👏
Each meetup has over 100 participants who have shown their passion for creating a business and learning from best practices. We look forward to more interaction in the coming events to bring up different perspectives and sparkles for the very own business for each participant! 🤩

法國坎城影展市場展（ Marché du Film - Festival de Cannes ）於台灣時間2021年7月13日午夜於沉浸式虛擬場館MOR ( Museum of Other Reality)舉辦頒獎典禮並揭曉得獎名單，臺師大特聘教授、新媒體藝術家黃心健VR以最新力作《輪迴》上集(Samsara Ep.1)自16部精采的入圍作品中脫穎而出，一舉奪下本屆最佳VR敘事大獎( Best VR Story)殊榮。
《輪迴》上集是首部獲頒此重要獎項的台灣原生VR作品，台灣驚人的VR創作實力再度揚名國際！
黃心健在頒獎典禮上致詞：「首先，感謝坎城評審團的肯定與鼓勵，很榮幸能夠得到最佳VR敘事大獎。也感謝 國立臺灣師範大學 National Taiwan Normal University 、 文化內容策進院 Taiwan Creative Content Agency 與VR 體感劇院 VR FILM LAB 的全力支援，才能讓《輪迴》得以順利地製作完成。由衷感謝所有參與製作《輪迴》的幕前、幕後製作人員，一起讓來自於台灣精彩VR作品，再次讓世界看見。」
《輪迴》的劇情牽動著生態、科技、資源分配與戰爭等多元議題，是一段人類自核毀滅後逃離地球的故事。殘存的人類嘗試在無垠的星際中，尋找下一個可以賴以生存的新星球，並以人工方式進化成一種新的生命體。但許多年過去了，人們漸漸發現其實自己永遠到不了夢想中的全新星球，他們只不過是在另一個時代，以不同的生命形式，一遍遍地返回地球。黃心健藉此反思深刻反思生命哲理，並應用了所謂「具身認知」的抽象概念，以此讓觀眾轉換到不同的肉體中，進而以全新的視角來體驗《輪迴》上集片中的世界觀。
作為全球最受矚目的影展項目之一，法國坎城影展市場展為一向是全球影人不容錯過的影壇趨勢指標。而今年度為減緩疫情衝擊，Cannes XR 單元與 VR 線上內容平台 VeeR 攜手合作，特別在虛擬場館 MOR中打造大型的影展會場。活動展間的呈現方式非常活潑豐富，坎城團隊打破了現實世界中音訊、材料與硬體限制，以超現實的效果來為全世界的觀眾提供最為華麗的展場體驗，從觀影、走紅毯、入座到致詞，與會者皆透過VR頭顯連線參與頒獎典禮，黃心健尤其驚豔於主辦單位為他打造的專區。以創新的虛擬形式舉辦典禮，也正契合了VR作為影界新猷的開創性。

🎉Taiwan's VR artist Hsin-Chien Huang Wins the Best VR Story Awards of Cannes XR‼️
The awards ceremony of Le Marché du Film will be held at midnight of July 13, 2021, at the Museum of Other Reality. The latest VR production by Distinguished Professor of NTNU, artist Hsin-Chien Huang, has been riding high among the other 16 nominated productions and bring home the prestigious "Best VR Story" award. " #Samsara Ep. 1" is the first native VR production from Taiwan to receive such honor and has once again put Taiwan on the map!
In the acceptance speech, Huang first mentioned that he would like to thank the jury for the recognition and encouragement. It was a great honor for him personally to win this award. He'd also like to thank the full support from NTNU, Taiwan Creative Content Agency and the VR FILM LAB of Kaohsiung Film Archive for making the production happen. Finally, he thanked all the crew members for showing the world how amazing the VR production from Taiwan.
The plot involves many different social issues, including ecology, technology, natural resource, and war. It's about a journey for humans after destroying the Earth with nukes. The survivors seek a new planet to carry on their lives in the limitless interstellar space, gradually evolve into a new life form artificially. Yet, after so many years, they have come to realize that they would never make it to the new planet that they have been dreaming of. They have been simply returning to the Earth in different life forms time after time. Huang uses the story to reflect on the philosophy of life and applies the concept of "embodied cognition" to teleport audiences to different bodies and experience the worldview of "Samsara" via a new perspective.
As one of the most famous film festivals globally, the Cannes Film Festival has always been a trial balloon for filmmakers around the globe. This year, to lower the impact of the pandemic, the Cannes XR has built a unique venue in the MOR (Museum of Ohter Reality) with VeeR VR , an online platform for virtual content, offering various exhibitions during the event. The team has broken down the barriers across materials, audio, and hardware, in reality, using surreal effects to provide the most magnificent viewing experience. From screening, walking on the red carpet, being seated to giving speeches, all the details are not left out through the VR headsets. Huang is especially impressed by the special area built for him by the host team. The ceremony is presented virtually innovatively, resonating with the groundbreaking feature in the VR film industry.
After winning the top award of the SXSW, "Jury Awards", "Samsara" has yet again captured the attention of another international film festival, testifying the profound and vibrant creativity of VR from Taiwan. The full version of "Samsara: will start its tour in September this year and come back to host its Asian premiere in Kaohsiung in October.

Hsin-Chien Huang's latest work, “Samsara Ep.1” will be shown at the Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival (NIFFF) in Switzerland.
This year NIFFF has not only made “Taiwan” as its theme, but also added three different elements: Fantasy, Asia, and Digital. In cooperation with TACCA, a special section called “FORMA FANTASTICA” will debut with four categories: feature films, animated shorts, series, and immersive contents. Up to four seminars will be available during the festival. Come discover the diversity and awesomeness of Taiwan’s artists and their works!
Especially in the “Immersive Contents”, NIFFF has made the connection and interaction between audiences and museums stronger to bring out some of the boldest and the most forward-looking issues via showing immersive performances.
Huang’s “Samsara Ep.1” intertwines a variety of issues, such as ecology, technology, distribution of recourses, and warfare, leading audiences to reflect on existence, environment, and other philosophical concepts. It is believed that Taiwan’s VR and XR productions and the creativity for immersive content can attract more international filmmakers and fans with the promotion from NIFFF.
Upcoming Events: Huang will show up at an online presentation, held by NIFFF, to share his insights and experiences when creating “Samsara.” The event will take place at 5:15 p.m. on July 5!
