| hong kong 🍚 oyakodon 🍢 tofu and minced chicken 🐔 engawa of gizzard 🐮 beef, uni, ikura 🍥 fish cake 🍳 omelette 🍗 wing 🐷 pancetta and cheese - we recently reviewed this place but felt we had to write an updated one b/c the service was abysmal. first visit was ok, second had some minor hiccups with the server Kelvin. during our third visit, two of our servers were polite but unfamiliar with the menu. one of them bent over and started writing into his notepad on our table whilst copying from the menu. later, his thumb went into the wasabi while serving the beef skewer. the other server accidentally dropped our quail egg skewer onto the table, causing some yolk spillage. she returned it to the plate, apologized and walked away. our third server, Kelvin, had a sassy attitude - we asked for another bottle of sparkling water but he came back with tap. we corrected him and he said “you have to pay for sparkling, it’s $78, do you want to pay?” an hour in, we were waiting on some missed orders and asked him to check on our omelette skewers. he rolled his eyes, checked himself out in the mirror behind us and said “we don’t have omelette”. confused, we tried to explain... “egg? 蛋?” he reiterated “that’s not omelette”. he obviously knew what we were saying and was taking the piss. we asked “so what is it called in English?” Kelvin: “look at the menu, egg roll”. he kept correcting us every time we said omelette. mate you know tamagoyaki is Japanese omelette right? he was straight up rude and sassy - finger and head shaking, eye rolling... after this interaction, he avoided our table, ignored us and ran away when we waved him over, blanked us when we said bye. felt like a middle school feud. this place desperately needs a manager and staff training. other than that, these are our favorite items to order - we noticed that a lot of people find the oyakodon and carbonara too saucy, but we love that. however, the don would be better if thigh meat is used. we’d consider returning if they sort out their service - #dribsandnibs_yakitoritorisho #dribsandnibs_yakitori #dribsandnibs_japanese #dribsandnibs_central #dribsandnibs_hongkong
