Few months ago, things were rough than I could even handle on my own. What did I do? Burst into tears. Distanced myself from my close circles (family & friends). Didn’t want to interact or even have conversations with literally anyone. BUT; a mask could easily be sorted. With the pandemic of #covid19 happening for nearly 2 years now, wearing a mask became a daily routine. I may or may not be talking about the actual mask. 🤣 I’m talking about the self battle that we are all probably going through ; right at this point and moment. Was that healthy? Not entirely. Was that a need? Most definitely. I’ve always been so loud about owning up to one’s selves. Especially when it gets tough or easy. Why even nunu why?!?! (You may wonder.) Well friends, we HAVE to celebrate these moments. These are life journeys and without ‘em, we wouldn’t be at where we are now. How have I gone through it myself? Therapy, self talk, medicines or even just smiling a lot. Does it get easier? No and yes. We learn as we step on a puddle whilst wearing our favourite HEELS OR SHOES 👞 👠 that it’s madness in diff zone of life 🤧 (ready to smack ourselves). Kkkkkkkkk. I AM serious about this. But my dead humour gets in the way once in a blue moon of shines. Let’s get this sorted. I love u fwens, I promise. 👍🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻 #MENTALHEALTH is one of the the biggest aspect in our lives. We could be physically fit, but if the internal bleeding of our soul ain’t resolved......... we’re going through a lifetime battle. But that’s okay. It’s a process. Remember that. Snippets of “Home” for the next 22 days. It is such a strange feeling to travel in the age of Covid. I’ve learned to allow myself to create while in the wait during these 3 + 1 days of quarantine. Learning to get comfortable with being uncomfortable, while recognising that I’m still progressing and growing even in times I needed rest… sufficient rest. With the world’s exuberant in anticipation of the approaching @tokyo2020 Summer Olympics, perhaps a glimpse of hope, excitement, and unity in such challenging times is what we truly need.
