We started our 1st vocal class last week. I saw that peculiar gawky 14 year old who reminded myself of me when i was that age. I was shy, and people were expecting me to be a burst of Rangoli colors when i was the total opposite. When Trisha’s mom texted asking if I could guide her singing journey, even without hearing or meeting her i said YES. Today we sang River, Yesterday n a lil bit of MJ. I asked Trisha so tell me why are u here..i said i know your mom wants u to have fun n nurture your talent but why are u here...honestly. She said...i like it. Just those 3 words n that sudden sparkle n suddenly beeeeeg huge smile on her face made me feel like ok yay this is gonna be a fun journey and plus her mom says she has been practicing in the shower too. Oh ya pls ignore my huge pimple. Bye. @jacqie.tan

Words can express how important our friendship is to me. Even trying to type this I’m already crying. To my best friend, my bettes, my sister, my confidant, my shoulder to cry on, my eating buddy, my Ribena buddy, my advisor and most importantly... Godmom to lil Idris... Happiest of Birthdays to you. Our friendship has lasted almost 30 years and it’s still going on strong. From gawky teenage hood (well, I was the gawky one), to our roaring 20s, to our slightly toned down 30s, from singleton to motherhood... we’ve gone through so much together. But no matter what, our friendship has stuck. I love you Bettes.. you know I do. So much. Ok can’t type anymore cos it’s making me cry.
