「插隊」的各種說法！

US 🇺🇸 (排隊的) 隊伍是 👉 line
UK 🇬🇧 隊伍是 👉 queue

插隊常見格式是：
動詞 + the + line 或 queue

動詞選擇有：
Jump 跳 (US 也用 jump in line)
Skip 略過
Cut 切進 (US 也用 cut in line)

這樣就可以排列組合出多種說法了！💪

是在介紹：Brain-computer interface (BCI).​
BCIs have the potential to amplify human intelligence to superhuman levels​
是不是超酷？​

作者首先介紹了BCI的種類：分為侵入以及非侵入性，已經應用在醫療產業上。​
如果BCI可以執行，我們可以體會telepathic conversations、playing back memories and dreams​
、immersing yourself and every sense you possess into a virtual entertainment experience​

Ps. 我超想要telepathic conversation！這樣我就不用開口講話了（是有多懶XD）​

但是BCI也產生了很多疑問，​
誰擁有這個記憶或能力？​
會不會被hack？​

為何看似到處都有霸凌者？要如何停止他們？

I have something to say to the guy who pulled up behind my VW Beetle recently in a jacked-up pickup truck, honked furiously while I waited for a pause in oncoming traffic to make a left turn, then followed me for blocks so close on my tail I could see the sweat on his brow while he yelled obscenities at me out the window.

📌 文章第一段描述作者在開車時遇到霸凌者的經驗，從他把車子停在作者車子的後面，開始狂按喇叭，緊貼跟隨作者的車子，還怒罵髒話。除了一些常用的片語動詞(pull up, wait for, make a left turn)外，作者也透過細節(see the sweat on his brow)說明尾隨的司機緊緊跟在後面。

People tried to push each other around before the pandemic. But lately it seems as if the bullies are taking over. Constant fear and anxiety fuel anger. The move of many of our interactions online means we are having less face-to-face communication; psychologists have long known that this decreases empathy, while anonymity—or the illusion of it—makes it easier to misbehave. And in a time of deep polarization, the tone of public discourse has grown more antagonistic.

📌 作者從個人經驗轉到大流行病後的社會現象：霸凌者看似支配我們的生活。作者解釋為什麽出現這個現象：
舉凡人與人之間，少了面對面的溝通機會，無形當中也降低了同理心(empathy)，匿名(anonymity)上網與他人互動，給彼此過多的錯覺及想像，最後也易於惹生事端。
