✨THE go-to place for girly occasions or date night! ✨Elegantly decorated with accents of pink (think feathers and velvet) and gold, I absolutely love the look of this place 💕The current menu is a tribute to Hong Kong, with dishes inspired by the flavours of the Fragrant Harbour 🇭🇰 I was impressed by my most recent visit right from the get-go, with the small but powerful taro puff with cheese amuse bouche being rather memorable. Sweet fresh flower crab is mixed with caviar exclusively produced for the restaurant and finished with just a tinge of century egg, just enough to pique your tastebud's interest without too much funky ammonia overpowering the delicate crab meat. 🦀 Another favourite was the scallop dish for the sumptious (I think browned?) butter sauce that had punchy hints of zesty kumquat. Sakura shrimps are embedded into a vermicelli tuille, adding the slightest touch of florality. Bonus: the crushed parts of the tuile did well to soak up all of that gorgeous sauce! 🐦 The pigeon dish was also divine - first air-dried for 2 days to age the meat and develop its flavour, then sous vide to cook the bird. I suspect that the pigeon might also have been smoked or roasted prior to serving as the entire bird was permeated with the loveliest smoky fragrance, which worked well with the strong gaminess of the meat. 🧀 The cheese course is a must for the unique Chinese-inspired accompaniments that go with the selection of cheeses, with the best pairing imho being the With attention to detail at every level, be it the intricate presentation or the multitude of components making up each dish, this will surely be an unforgettable meal!
