眼淺的人不宜在夜半獨聽歌，尤其是Bob Dylan的歌。我研讀上世紀歐美流行曲的興衰，穿梭各支樂隊的詞和韻，終於明白到他怎會得到諾貝爾文學獎。《Blowin' in the wind》，是飄揚還是飄零？或許在翳焗的熱島裡，我們已忘了風怎樣吹，但只要有詩，自能喚起久違的畫面和感動。

20歲左右就作得出不朽的金曲，那壯闊的心靈不知Bob是怎樣成長的。聽他在1964年在紐約民歌節的演唱片段，很難相信那老邁滄桑的唱腔是屬於眼前的這一個人，更想像不到那賺人熱淚的《Mr. Tambourine Man》是這個小伙子寫的。你要聽嗎？我手癢，想親自把歌詞譯作唱得出的中文：

Court officials came to our SanZhi Sanctuary last month to give us notice to evict the property. We must be out by July 31. If any dogs remain after that date, they will be taken to a government kill pound.

We have permission from new Taipei City officials to build sanctuary gardens at our Dog Kingdom site. Work can begin as soon as we have enough money to start putting up fences.

We need to raise about NT$2 million (£42,000/US$63,000) before the end of July.

PLEASE, if everyone just donates NT$500 (£10/US$15) we can do it.

The SanZhi Sanctuary is home to dogs like ChiChi and Pudding, who have been undergoing reconstructive surgery to rebuild their faces; like Hope, Roo, Scotty, ShanDee, and a dozen other dogs who have lost at least one leg each to illegal gin traps and snares; and like Bernie, Clinton, and 40 others who are too difficult to find good homes elsewhere

All 113 of our SanZhi dogs are deserving of a happy, healthy life.
