為何開一條馬路會對石虎造成影響，根據屏科大研究團隊發現，個性隱蔽的石虎非常不喜歡柏油路，即使是無人的半夜也不會穿越，而一隻石虎需要的地盤範圍約80~100甲面積相當大，因此開了馬路之後將會把石虎的地盤壓縮，會嚴重影響他的生存條件，迫使它離開安全的棲地，而現存可利用的棲地已經不多了，被迫遷移的石虎通常是死路一條，所以即使只是一條馬路也會嚴重影響石虎族群的生存。而台灣是道路密度極高的國家，現在開馬路的實際時間與經濟效益並不高，大部份都是為了選舉的支票以及選票，建設就是政績的時代應該已經過去了，所以請大家支持這項活動，保護瀕臨絕種的一級保育類-石虎。

Why paving a road would affect Leopard cats' life?
According to NPUST ( National Pingtung University of Science and Technology), Leopard cats are too shy to get near to roads, even it's midnight with no human's around.
Furthermore, usually a Leopard Cat's territory is about 240-300 square meters, so paving a road would definitely take their territory from them, which would make them leave their safe habitat.
With the reduction of Leopard Cats' habitats, those who're forced to move away would usually face death, so even if it's just one road, it would have a great influence to the Leopard Cats.
Taiwan's roads are highly concentrated now,so paving roads seems to be unnecessary at all, the main reason is because of some politician's policy to fascinate the voters during the election.
