Q: affect, effect 用法差別? affect可否當名詞? effect可否當動詞?

A: affect 與 effect 均可表示“影響”，其區別是：affect是動詞(及物)，主要是指影響；effect是名詞 (可數或不可數)，主要指效應。 兩者的關係大致為：affect ＝have an effect on。

1. affect (verb): to have an influence on somebody/something

Does the show, Gossip Girl, affect teenagers’ behavior? 花邊教主這個節目是否影響青少年的行為？

2. effect (noun) = result, influence
Does the show, Gossip Girl, have an effect on teenagers’ behavior? 花邊教主這個節目是否對青少年的行為有影響？

小凡: 可是，可是，可是，老師，字典說affect也可以當名詞啊，effect也可以當及物動詞啊。

Eric老師：是的，小凡。但是這兩種用法比較少見，很多阿斗仔都搞不太懂。

affect當名詞表示(在心理學)某人的心理狀態
1. affect (noun) = the mood that someone appears to have, usually used when talking about psychology

She displayed a happy affect in the psychological experiment. 在這個心理實驗中，她呈現了一個愉悅的狀態。

effect當動詞表示“實現”或“產生”等
effect (verb): to achieve or produce; to bring about

They hope to effect a truce between North and South Korea. 他們希望實現南韓和北韓間的休戰協定。
