原曲名為作曲家J.S. 巴哈(1685 - 1750)所寫的BWV478號交響曲，
曲名就是德文的Komm, S üsser Tod ，英譯「Come,sweet death」
意思是「來吧，甜蜜的死亡」

歌詞有兩個版本，庵野秀明負責最先的日文板，後來經過 Mike WYZGOWSKI
將日文歌詞做了一個「轉換」，讓它可以不和原文意思差太多而比較順口

這首曲子的前奏不快，使用的樂器種類也不多，由Arianne清純的聲線為起頭
帶出些許淡淡的無奈，即使歌詞中透露出一種絕望感，但配上慢板節奏，至少
影射出主角至少還默默的承受。
中後段的曲風則是在仍有希望的小小堅持中轉變為完全的自暴自棄，風格和前段
比起來形成極強烈的對比，掌拍聲之中表現出帶著黑暗的狂喜，一直循環下去..

收錄於Refrain of Evangelion中的版本，異外的發現後段加入了嘻鬧的人聲，
可能是影射在死亡過程中回憶起生前快樂的時光，別有一番味道。

TUMBLING DOWN MIX 6:31

比起前兩個版本，TUMBLING DOWN MIX帶有黑人音樂的味道，著重在歌唱技巧上
，感覺上像是在夜總會聽演唱，臨場感壓過了歌詞本身的沉重，不過喜歡前兩
個版本的人可能一時會不習慣這種表現方式。
