Here are 10 things this great city does better than anywhere else.
Building into the sky
When you've got a heck of a lot of people and very little land, what do you do? Hong Kong's solution is to stack them up on top of each other, inside tall buildings.
Daredevil construction
Daredevil scaffolders dangling precariously on bits of bamboo suspended in midair are a common and heart-stopping sight in Hong Kong's streets.
Tonal talents
Check out Carlos Douh's YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/carlosdouh), the Internet's most entertaining Cantonese language teacher, for quick and easy Cantonese lessons.
Staying alive
Hong Kong - with an intentional homicide rate of 0.2 per 100,000 people in the last 16 years - only lost out to Monaco and Palau, where there have been zero recorded murders.
Getting you there
Hong Kong is really good at getting you where you need to go.
Letting you keep your money
As a financial center that's historically been seen as the gateway to the Chinese market, Hong Kong is a great place to make money.
Kung fu movies
Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Chow Yun Fat, Maggie Cheung, John Woo, Wong Kar-wai ... the list of Hong Kong's cinematic heavy hitters goes on.
Soft landings
One of the most impressive sites for Hong Kong visitors is the airport. Sure, it's recently been toppled from the throne by Singapore's Changi Airport. But Hong Kong handles more passenger traffic, 53 million passengers in 2011.
Take that, Singapore.
Foodie-ism
Ever tried a syrup-slathered French toast filled with satay beef slices? Or instant noodles dressed in a cheese sauce?
No? You haven't lived.
Take it from this city of people who are very good at eating.
Partying so hard the neighbors want in on it
First time visitors to Hong Kong's party area, Lan Kwai Fong, might think they've entered a time warp, suddenly appearing in Ibiza or Cancun at 9 p.m. on a Friday night.

Anyway...
「Sorry for being not sexy, however, that’s the truth, which is not supposed to be entertaining.」

So it’s my birthday, I mean I didn’t plan for any party celebration, fancy dinner or drinking session. Not really in a birthday mood, just want to have a nice meal and chill, this is what I ever wish for this year. Maybe 2019 hasn’t been good to me although it’s only March but honestly I had enough bad luck… So far nothing good has happened to me yet. I got my first saman on the third day of 2019, I was so lucky that MBPJ sent me 2 red letters just because the first and only saman I have in my life; I was also hit by a car even though I was sober and I drove really slowly. On top of those, I was robbed just last week. I lost my first chanel, wallet, cash and a phone I just got like 2 months ago. So many things happened in a short span of time. I’m getting a slight emotional break down. I used to be a lucky star in my life but why do all of these keep happening to me? Maybe my luck this time is really running dry.
But no worries, life still goes on, good things gonna happen soon hopefully (trying to stay positive). I think I should write a book about losing stuff in my life. It’s gonna be super entertaining I assume. Lastly, thank you for all the birthday wishes, I appreciate that you spent a minute to write me birthday wishes or sing me birthday song through voice msg, that’s the effort I can tell! 😉 Don’t ask me how old I am, don’t guess my age wrongly, and don’t say I look older than my age.. you just gonna remember Alexis Grace is super hot, sexy, adorable, independent and a strong woman! And, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MYSELF once again... 🍰

One of our big focus areas for 2018 is making sure the time we all spend on Facebook is time well spent.
We built Facebook to help people stay connected and bring us closer together with the people that matter to us. That's why we've always put friends and family at the core of the experience. Research shows that strengthening our relationships improves our well-being and happiness.
But recently we've gotten feedback from our community that public content -- posts from businesses, brands and media -- is crowding out the personal moments that lead us to connect more with each other.
It's easy to understand how we got here. Video and other public content have exploded on Facebook in the past couple of years. Since there's more public content than posts from your friends and family, the balance of what's in News Feed has shifted away from the most important thing Facebook can do -- help us connect with each other.
We feel a responsibility to make sure our services aren’t just fun to use, but also good for people's well-being. So we've studied this trend carefully by looking at the academic research and doing our own research with leading experts at universities.
The research shows that when we use social media to connect with people we care about, it can be good for our well-being. We can feel more connected and less lonely, and that correlates with long term measures of happiness and health. On the other hand, passively reading articles or watching videos -- even if they're entertaining or informative -- may not be as good.
Based on this, we're making a major change to how we build Facebook. I'm changing the goal I give our product teams from focusing on helping you find relevant content to helping you have more meaningful social interactions.
We started making changes in this direction last year, but it will take months for this new focus to make its way through all our products. The first changes you'll see will be in News Feed, where you can expect to see more from your friends, family and groups.
As we roll this out, you'll see less public content like posts from businesses, brands, and media. And the public content you see more will be held to the same standard -- it should encourage meaningful interactions between people.
For example, there are many tight-knit communities around TV shows and sports teams. We've seen people interact way more around live videos than regular ones. Some news helps start conversations on important issues. But too often today, watching video, reading news or getting a page update is just a passive experience.
Now, I want to be clear: by making these changes, I expect the time people spend on Facebook and some measures of engagement will go down. But I also expect the time you do spend on Facebook will be more valuable. And if we do the right thing, I believe that will be good for our community and our business over the long term too.
At its best, Facebook has always been about personal connections. By focusing on bringing people closer together -- whether it's with family and friends, or around important moments in the world -- we can help make sure that Facebook is time well spent.
