【#科學腦洞時間】如果有一天，外星人軍團行經太陽系，一個外星人指揮官說：「我覺得地球有點擋路耶！我們把它切一半好了！」
　
咦？如果真的把地球切成兩半會怎麼樣呢？

🌍首先，指揮官大概物理沒學好，如果把地球切成兩半，地球會因為引力的關係互相吸引繼續黏在一起，並不會像切西瓜一樣各自掉到桌上，所以，地球依舊擋住他們的去路。
　
即使地球表面上看起來恢復原狀，但地面上的物種可沒那麼幸運了。
　
世界各地將會立即感受到強大的地震，隨之而來的便是地表破裂、海嘯和火山爆發，而這時已經有數以萬計的生物死亡了！

🌍那麼如果外星人有辦法將地球切開，順便推一把讓兩個半圓分離呢？
　
地球中心的地核從原本的高壓力到突然暴露在壓力為零的太空中，高溫熔融狀態的物質會瘋狂地往太空噴發再落下，大氣層因而被吹散。
　
人類除了要躲避落下的地心岩漿，還要承受原本被大氣層阻擋在外的高能紫外線、宇宙射線等攻擊，基本上這時已經沒有生物可以活命了。
　
被分離的「半地球」則會在自身引力作用下慢慢收縮成球形，成為圍繞同一質心轉動的行星雙星，大概會因為引力互相吸引，最終撞毀在一起吧！

🌍那有沒有人真的想過要劈開地球？
　
還真的有！而且就是你我熟知，設計現代交流電系統的尼古拉．特斯拉（Nikola Tesla）。
　
1898 年，特斯拉在他紐約的實驗室做了一個實驗，他將自己設計的小型振盪器掛在柱子上，觀察振盪器與實驗室物品產生的共振現象，沒想到震動沿著柱子往地底傳遞、擴散，整個曼哈頓區頓時陷入這個瘋狂科學家的「人造地震」裡。
　
特斯拉意識到自己好像玩大了！便迅速把振盪器砸爛，還笑笑的對衝進來的警察說：「太可惜了！你們沒有親眼見證我精彩的實驗過程。」，甚至還誇口說自己設計的小振盪器可以 “split the earth like an apple.”（把地球像蘋果一樣掰開）
