看著眾多藝術家的作品，過去一年香港民主運動的記憶：悲傷、憤怒、感動，一一浮現⁣⁣

在香港，連儂牆被消失；在台灣，文宣作品能自由展出⁣⁣
這樣更顯出自由的可貴，值得去好好守護⁣⁣

Part 2: 文宣的意義？⁣⁣

這或許不能「實質地」達到民主⁣⁣
這或許不能替受傷的人止血⁣⁣
這或許不能餵飽與家人鬧翻的年輕人⁣⁣

那麼⋯⋯為甚麼需要文宣呢？⁣⁣
⁣⁣
這可以傳播真相⁣⁣
這可以治癒受傷的心⁣⁣
這可以把人們連在一起，無分國界⁣⁣
⁣⁣
這是圖像的力量⁣⁣
每個人的力量都很小，但每個人也在努力著⁣⁣
願大家平安，毋忘初心⁣⁣

About Taiwan Comic Base “Hong Kong Anti-extradition Art Exhibition”⁣⁣

Part 1: About the exhibition⁣⁣
⁣⁣
The exhibition is reconstructing the scene of Kwai Fong Lennon Wall and Prince Edward Station.⁣⁣
From artists’ works, it recalls the memories of incidents in Hong Kong pro-democracy movement, tragedy, anger, and love.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
While Lennon Walls are disappearing in Hong Kong, political illustrations are able to be exhibited in Taiwan, freely. ⁣⁣
Freedom is so much treasurable, and worth to fight for.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Thanks all artists, Jean, her team, and Comic Base for the extraordinary exhibition.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Part 2: Meaning of political illustration?⁣⁣
⁣⁣
It may not be a “effective” way to achieve democracy. ⁣⁣
It may not heal the bleeding wounds. ⁣⁣
It may not end the hunger of youngsters who quarrel with family.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Then....Why people need the illustrations?⁣⁣
⁣⁣
It may spread the truth.⁣⁣
It may heal people’s heart.⁣⁣
It may bring people together, without boundries.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
That’s the power of illustration.⁣⁣
Every one is weak, but every one is contributing.⁣⁣
Stay safe, Stay strong.⁣⁣

聽說，西方的父母會養子女到20歲，或者到大學畢業，然後便要他們搬走自立
因為養育的責任完了，子女已經成為大人，要面對自己的人生了
有空回來探望就可以，父母的人生也就自由了

我不知道有多少父母會這樣，但第一次聽，已經覺得這是很棒的理念
父母帶子女的生命來到世界，人的存在不是擁有
期限到了，就要說再見
「再見」就是下次再見面，不是斷絕來往

你希望子女愛你嗎？是真愛那種
就是要懂得說再見
好好珍惜相處的時間，有質素的相處，比每天「給意見」更有意思

期限不一定是20歲，但一定不是99歲

Dear mothers, do you have a happy Mother’s Day?
From the view of a child, let’s talk about how to maintain a good family relationship.

Some parents in Western countries will ask the children to move out when they are 20, or graduate.
It’s because the children become adults already. The responsibility finishes. Children needs to live their own life.
Come back anytime to visit us is enough. Parent is free then.

I don’t know how many parents will do that. The idea is really great.
Parents bring a life to the world, but not owning it.
When the time comes, parents need to say goodbye.
It means “see you later”.
Do you want your children love you deeply?
You need to know how to say goodbye.
Treasure the time together is much better than “advising” the kids every day.

The deadline may not be 20, but it would not be 99.

Wish you all have a cheerful family relationship.

1 year ago today, I went on a semester long exchange to study at Korea's Sungkyunkwan University #성균관대학교 for Fall 2020. 🇰🇷It was truly an exchange journey that really changed my life. I still can't help to think back to all of the amazing people that I met on this exchange, all of the awesome adventures exploring Korea, making the best out of every day in the 5 months that I was there for. That's why I selected A to Z of my favourite memories from August to January to show you guys why going on exchange can be so life-changing and it is definitely the best decision that I have made!
