山竹正逐漸遠離香港，本港風力亦逐步減弱，但具破壞性的東南風初時仍影響本港部分地區。
受風暴潮影響，維多利亞港的海水高度曾升至海圖基準面以上約3.9米，大澳的海水高度曾升至海圖基準面以上約3.8米，而尖鼻咀的海水高度亦曾升至海圖基準面以上約4.0米。多處水位正逐漸下降，但部分低窪地區仍有嚴重水浸。
山竹的強雨帶仍影響香港，帶來頻密狂風及大雨，海面有極巨浪及湧浪。天文台呼籲市民仍然保持高度警覺。
Mangkhut is departing Hong Kong gradually, and local winds are weakening. However, destructive southeasterly winds are still affecting parts of the territory at first.
Under the influence of storm surge, the water level at Victoria Harbour has reached about 3.9 metres above chart datum. The water level at Tai O has reached about 3.8 metres above chart datum, whereas the water level at Tsim Bei Tsui has also reached about 4.0 metres above chart datum. Water levels over many places are dropping, but parts of the low-lying areas still have severe flooding.
Mangkhut's intense rainbands are still affecting Hong Kong, bringing frequent squalls and heavy rain. Sea will be phenomenal with swells. The Observatory appeals to the members of the public to stay on high alert.
