Yamakase is an exclusive invite-only omakase Japanese fusion cuisine located on Santa Monica Blvd in Sawtelle. The 17-course omakase starts at $280 per person. Although it is invite-only, reservation requests are accepted through his website. It seats around 17 people with one seating per night at 7 pm. If you are looking for an interesting and unique dining experience, Yamakase is a place to go. It is noted for top quality ingredients (black truffle。Tuber Aestivum from Italy , caviar, and uni) with chef Yama-san's rigorous culinary skills. There are a few highlights for tonight. Frozen Toro sandwich, Yama-san’s signature dish, it is composed of frozen toro, Hokkaido uni, and blue crab on toasted brioche topped with aromatic black truffle. It bought me to heaven! Next, the king crab legs that are steamed to perfection. It is simply juicy, tender, umami and mildly sweet. Is anyone a ramen lover here? You will love Chef Yama-san’s 🦆ramen. The 🐥 , 🦆 , 🦀, clams, and bonito all together creates a broth that is rich, flavorful, and full of depth . The black pepper taste lifts the umami flavors. I wanted to ask for a second bowl! [A Sensuous Gastronomic Experience] Japanese meal never fails to make everyone gastronomically satisfied. Simplicity, balance and seasonality are the hallmarks of Japanese eating.  The newly launched Sen-ryo “Shokunin Special 6-course menu“ is not just appeal to the most immediate sensory for taste, but also naturally appeal to the eye. Every element and detail precise and accounted for. Shokunin Special Course Menu (HK$488) The 6-course menu features traditional Japanese favourites including: Appetizer, Sashimi, Shokunin Sushi, Cooked Dish, Soup and Dessert. Appertizer - Woke up our palates with this tart and fragrant appetiser, octopus with okra served with lemon sour sauce. Sashimi - the Shokunin created a visual spectacle sashimi platter, which consisted of Red Sea Bream, Yellow Tail and O-toro with Uni.
