Everyone has their own pace. • If you already looking for motivation and still feels the same. Just start doing what you planned with the SMALLEST STEP possible. Motivation will grow from there. No matter how small, just start. Action will lead to motivation. • Sometimes planning too much will slow you down. You might be overthinking. Yes, planning is important. But plan with no action will lead you nowhere. • Reduce scrolling too much on social media. These things consume so much of our time. Seeing people do so much stuff while you aren’t won’t help you. Be honest with yourself, it’s just makes you think their life is better than yours right? This might be sounds counter-intuitive for me to say this here. But this is the truth that we have to swallow. Read again my first point. Put down your freakin phone and start whatever you planned. • Start treating yourself like you treat someone that you loved. Take care of yourself like you take care of someone that you care so much. Keep this in mind you’ll start see changes in your life. • Hope it helps. This is what I’ve been exploring recently. From one of my coaching sessions with my coach where he explained that discipline is no more than simply knowing what you want, focusing on it and following through/building routines and that you can totally shift your relationship with discipline in ways that really work for you. It doesn’t have to be the masculine grind, smash and push yourself drill sargeant kind of way. And for some reason that really clicked with me. In the past I’ve tried the whole WILL yourself to get stuff done. You know the musts, have to, shoulds. And, I’ve found that although it worked to some extent, at some point my mind would go.. Na not worth it. Don’t get me wrong I love David goggins “Stay Hard!” mindset, it’s inspiring and It gets me pumped! Have you seen the “Who’s gonna carry the boats and the logs video while he’s doing the bench press. Love it!”, Infact, I actually send that to some of my clients that resonate with the stay hard, grind mindset. And challenging yourself at times certainly has its place. I’ve just found in the context of consistency and sustainability that the David goggins stay hard, all or nothing and will yourself to enlightenment/happiness doesn’t really last for me. And instead I find I get a lot more done and I’m a lot more present when I’m focused on staying curious and bringing a lightness/playfulness to everything I’m doing. Sounds counter intuitive, but it seems to work So, I’m still doing what needs to get done, it just feels way lighter. And from what one of my mentors has shared. “Happiness often leads to success a lot more than success leads to happiness” and I’m kinda feeling it. I mean what’s life if we’re not enjoying the journey? So, it’s less discipline and it’s more blissipline. As Vishnu likes to call it.. wait not Vishnu isn’t that the.. no it’s Vishen Lakhiani from mindvalley. Cant’ beleive i said that.. Wait.. I’m typing so i can delete it.. anyway. Ya Vishens the man So like discipline doesn’t have to come with the whole rigid, heavy, icky drill Sargent vibe attached to it if you’re not really feeling it. 👇🏻
