被佔領時的巴黎，就像失去了靈魂。被佔領時的巴黎，是一個全然陌生的城市。表面上，生活仍然像之前一樣繼續：劇院、電影院、音樂廳、餐廳都繼續營業。人們聽著收音機傳來的歌曲。劇院或電影院的觀眾甚至比戰前還要多，彷彿人們來這裡尋求庇護，人們集結在這裡互相擁抱取暖，讓自己安心。但是一些不尋常的細節仍然顯示巴黎已經不是過去的樣子，因為汽車不見了，變成一個靜默的城市－靜默中聽得見樹木沙沙作響，馬兒木鞋喀喀的聲音，林蔭大道上人群的腳步噪音，以及嗓門的喧嘩。
Patrick Modiano是第15個獲得諾貝爾文學獎的法國人，也是我蠻喜歡的現代法國作家之一。因為我不是文學咖，能讀得下去的文學作品都不會太晦澀和寡。 Modiano的筆觸深入淺出，行雲流水般的簡潔,，輕輕幾筆就觸動內心深處的， 每每看完都有通體舒暢的爽感!
BEAU et EMU,，法國人這樣形容他在12月初領取諾貝爾獎的演說~美麗而令人動容! 我才讀了一段就立刻被吸引了!
評審說他的作品「揭開了法國被德軍佔領時的世界」，而他的回應，讓我想到前一陣子相當紅的法國「才女」歌手ZAZ (容我再次再次強調我不喜歡她的老音唱腔)。
ZAZ的歌詞裡也提到佔領時期的巴黎，但她在11月接受訪問時說，被佔領時的巴黎生活其實還是輕快 ( légèreté) 的! 讓法國人相當的錯愕，也凸顯了年輕一輩對歷史的無知與無感。
我本來想翻譯Modiano的演說稿，但只完成了2/3。 (原文連結在本文最下面)
這裡先跟大家分享有關佔領時期巴黎的幾段，譯得不道地的地方,請多多指教!
Je suis comme toutes celles et ceux nés en 1945, un enfant de la guerre, et plus précisément, puisque je suis né à Paris, un enfant qui a dû sa naissance au Paris de l’Occupation. Les personnes qui ont vécu dans ce Paris-là ont voulu très vite l’oublier, ou bien ne se souvenir que de détails quotidiens, de ceux qui donnaient l’illusion qu’après tout la vie de chaque jour n’avait pas été si différente de celle qu’ils menaient en temps normal. Un mauvais rêve et aussi un vague remords d’avoir été en quelque sorte des survivants. Et lorsque leurs enfants les interrogeaient plus tard sur cette période et sur ce Paris-là, leurs réponses étaient évasives. Ou bien ils gardaient le silence comme s’ils voulaient rayer de leur mémoire ces années sombres et nous cacher quelque chose. Mais devant les silences de nos parents, nous avons tout deviné, comme si nous l’avions vécu.
我像其他所有出生在１９４５年的人一樣，都是戰爭的孩子。更確切一點的話，因為我出生在巴黎，是個因巴黎被佔領而出生的孩子。曾經在那個被佔領的巴黎生活的人，都想盡快忘記，或者只想記得日常生活的瑣碎，只記住每天的生活終究並沒有什麼不同的假象。就像個噩夢，或者含糊的自責，因為某種程度上，他們屬於大戰的倖存者。過幾年，當他們的孩子問起那個時期以及那個被佔領的巴黎，他們的回答是含糊其詞的。或者他們保持沉默，想把那些灰暗年代從他們的回憶中擦掉，對我們隱瞞一些事情。但是，從父母的沉默當中，我們早就猜到了，就像我們也經歷過那個年代一樣。
Paris sous l’Occupation, une ville qui « semblait absente d’elle-même »
Ville étrange que ce Paris de l’Occupation. En apparence, la vie continuait, « comme avant » : les théâtres, les cinémas, les salles de music-hall, les restaurants étaient ouverts. On entendait des chansons à la radio. Il y avait même dans les théâtres et les cinémas beaucoup plus de monde qu’avant-guerre, comme si ces lieux étaient des abris où les gens se rassemblaient et se serraient les uns contre les autres pour se rassurer. Mais des détails insolites indiquaient que Paris n’était plus le même qu’autrefois. à cause de l’absence des voitures, c’était une ville silencieuse – un silence où l’on entendait le bruissement des arbres, le claquement de sabots des chevaux, le bruit des pas de la foule sur les boulevards et le brouhaha des voix.

Dans le silence des rues et du black-out qui tombait en hiver vers cinq heures du soir et pendant lequel la moindre lumière aux fenêtres était interdite, cette ville semblait absente à elle-même – la ville « sans regard », comme disaient les occupants nazis. Les adultes et les enfants pouvaient disparaître d’un instant à l’autre, sans laisser aucune trace, et même entre amis, on se parlait à demi-mot et les conversations n’étaient jamais franches, parce qu’on sentait une menace planer dans l’air.
Dans ce Paris de mauvais rêve, où l’on risquait d’être victime d’une dénonciation et d’une rafle à la sortie d’une station de métro, des rencontres hasardeuses se faisaient entre des personnes qui ne se seraient jamais croisées en temps de paix, des amours précaires naissaient à l’ombre du couvre-feu sans que l’on soit sûr de se retrouver les jours suivants. Et c’est à la suite de ces rencontres souvent sans lendemain, et parfois de ces mauvaises rencontres, que des enfants sont nés plus tard. Voilà pourquoi le Paris de l’Occupation a toujours été pour moi comme une nuit originelle. Sans lui je ne serais jamais né. Ce Paris-là n’a cessé de me hanter et sa lumière voilée baigne parfois mes livres.
在街道的靜默以及冬夜五點後任何窗戶透出的微光都被禁止的燈火管制之中，這個城市就像失去了靈魂－沒有『眼神』的城市，像納粹占領軍說的。大人跟小孩都有可能在任何時刻消失，不留下任何痕跡；甚至朋友之間的對話也是含蓄而不坦承的，因為總覺得空氣之間飄盪著威脅的氣氛。
在這如同噩夢般的巴黎，人們隨時都可能成為告密的犧牲者，或者在踏出地鐵站時被掃進集中營，承平時期從無交集的人開始邂逅，露水姻緣在宵禁後展開，因為人們不確定隔天是否還能再相逢。然而，就是在這種沒有明天的邂逅當中，或者是不正常的邂逅之後，小孩出生了。這就是為什麼我始終覺得被佔領時的巴黎就是最初的那一夜。沒有它，我就不會出生。那個巴黎從不曾停止糾纏我，它那朦朧晦暗的光芒時而照耀著我的書集。
