Chapter 4

過一段不長不短的時光後，某些時常見得的問題總是會在訪問、介紹時被提起：這艘船與充滿意外的航行是如何開始的？

一開始的起始點是，我的高中畢業，上大學前的暑假。如附圖所見的舌頭冰鎮男子張瀚元找我加入樂團，跟嘉祐，以及當時的鼓手。但是以瀚元的詞曲出發，然後我仍然是負責Bass。似乎這三年，我並沒有說過我其實在很小的時候學樂器是學Bass，總之以18歲來說，根音派還算是被認可的我進到了前身的樂團。到了秋天，才開始改作一些我高中就寫好（大家或多或少聽過，應該吧）的歌曲，然後迎來吉他手嘉祐的國中／大學同學主唱志正。演出兩三場後，在彩排時因緣際會跟現在的鼓手禹丞（歡呼）見到面，雖然彼此高中交友圈很接近但是沒有想過他會接受這種軟趴趴音樂（他當初風格可說是硬到令人甘拜下風。）之後的故事，或許有些人聽過，有些人不清楚，總之一路到了現在。

這首是非/密閉空間的裡的同名歌曲，剛開始在做這張專輯的時候怕專輯太難賣聽了許多這幾年比較紅的流行演奏潮團像Comet is Coming跟Son of Kemet當作參考，但後來發現我跟謝明諺好像都不太能做這種比較直覺一首歌只吹一個音的流行psychedelic跳舞音樂........但又不想每首歌都是聽起來太艱深機掰難相處......所以就想了一個很簡單巴辣的五聲音階主題，但放在不同的time signature裡，所有節拍的暗示都在一開始的clap pattern，他其實是以15拍為基礎，從15對16，然後變成4+4+4+3，然後我很喜歡自己設計的glitch hop的wobble bass line跟自己很久沒彈的老派爵士吉他但又很glitch的Solo，然後再把這些老元素轉化成各種EDM會用到的build up跟Drop，希望有B-Boy可以把這首歌拿去編舞啦.......

跨年沒表演沒局沒喝酒......來整理一下今年聽過覺得還不錯的作品....

今年因為製作非/密閉空間跟百合花的關係，聽了比往年更多的爵士樂跟器樂演奏，但時間就是只有那麼多....加上比較少花時間在Soundcloud上跟演算法的關係，好像就沒diggin到幾個新咖....idm/glitch/breakcore這些以前喜歡的也聽的比較少要不然就是還來不及聽....然後每天Soundcloud stream上滿滿的trap.....是說我聽的trap也很多很歪很帥啦但聽久也蠻煩的....

1 James Brandon Lewis - An Unruly Manifesto

這是一張向Charlie Haden 以及Ornette Coleman致敬的專輯，會對James Brandon Lewis 有印象應該是他去年那張實在有夠像Coltrane晚期的作品，這張裏頭滿滿的噪音吉他跟狂喜Saxphone solo真的很爽，第九首Handen is Beauty一直覺得是Pat Metheny Rejoicing裡的the Calling，但Pat Metheny這張也是向Ornette Coleman致敬就是了(而且Bass手就是Charlie Haden。)

2. Alon Mor - Land of Delight

Alon Mor這張真的就是色號#000000的黑，大編制管絃樂跟一堆飄來飄去的foley glitch用的超好，器樂編制動能超強，我一直覺得它就是21世紀的Hans Zimmer+Trent Reznor .......要是有好來汙大製作北藍片找他配樂我一定會去看.....

3. Antoine Berjeaut - Moving Cities

其實這張專輯吸引我的是tone很不爵士有點迷幻又有點衝浪的吉他手Guillaume Magne 以及鼓手Makaya McCraven，節奏組爆幹帥的當代器樂Drum'N Bass，強推第二首 Shadows~~!!!合成器也很酸很爽，大概比Comet is Coming爽一萬倍~~~!!!

4. Cup –Spinning Creature

很喜歡Nels Cline x Yuka Honda這對夫妻檔今年ㄉ作品， 對我來說很小品，但又很複雜，不過不是聽了會有壓力的那種........覺得Cibo Matto的成分多一點............ 而且看了一些他們的婚姻訪談，超羨慕這種一起玩團還不會離婚的組合~~!!!!

5. Black Nile–Sounds of Color

年初在Alpha Pup發現到帥氣潮流爵士組合，雖然有幾首很普普，但第二首JYRO直衝Jaga Jazzist跟Kamasi Washington的長篇即興氣勢就值得買整張!!!一樣比Comet is Coming爽一萬倍~~!!!!

6. @Jaimie Branch -- FLY or DIE II: bird dogs of paradise

好像很多年終榜都有選這張，我覺得這張蠻值得拿來跟Art Ensemble of Chicago 50周年的新作相比較的，但如果要選我會選這張，而且我覺得這張專輯明明Bass手Jason Ajemian 才是主角吧.....他其實不是很爵士，器樂就是弄得爛爛的(應該是故意)，但超級黑。

7. Neue Grafik Ensemble -- Foulden Road

這張應該就是屬於21世紀的Acid-Jazz了，Neue Grafik 包辦全部器樂演奏， Gilles Peterson會喜歡的那種英國痛~~

7. Petter Eldh – Koma Saxo

沒有和聲樂器的六重奏，Double Bass聲響跟器樂編制很吸引人，混音也是這種類型少見，電子成分蠻多的，Patter Based為基底但變化超級多~~~這個比Comet is Coming爽2萬倍吧~~~

9. Trio Heinz Herbert – Yes

瑞士來的Glitch Jazz組合，瑞士好像超多人在玩這種，很喜歡吉他手用的glitch效果，節奏很歪很爽，蠻像以前Leaf會出的東西，對我來說很groovy，但不是那種groovy........

10. Billegal Beats Vol.0

今年有來派樂黛大師班的Glitch-Hop神人，知名youtuber今年成立的廠牌所發行的合輯，集結各種idm/glitch屌咖，The Flashbulb、Julien Mier、Valance Drake、WISP、也有很多沒聽過但超厲害的Artist，但光是只聽久沒作品的Flashbulb用modular做的屌beat這張就值得收了~~

很喜歡Kurt Rosenwinkel有參與的兩張專輯.....兩張風格差很多，但裏頭真的是各種厲害吉他效果大全.....HOG用超神，各種沒在管大家聽不聽得懂的長篇即興超爽......然後這Human Feel全明星隊youtube只有35個訂閱者....好慘...........

13. Hypercube & Nuanae -- Global Oxide

今年唯一聽到幾張有爽的暴力glitch作品，高壓，摧殘，後工業，非具象，但不是噪音的那種，而是用錯東西一不小心會bad trip那種。

14. Ruby My Dear -- Altair

Ruby My Dear去年那張Brame應該這是10年來我覺得最重要的電子音樂作品之一，這張 Altair又重回老本行超直線Jungle+Breakcore，Neuro Bass催下去一樣又噴又爽，
