摩卡在月初剃毛時發現尾巴長了腫塊 預約了醫生4/12要做細針採樣 超過我們預料的事是4/6早晨腫包就破裂了鮮血狂流 手忙腳亂的止血送去醫院 當下醫生就判斷建議直接截尾送化驗 手術前拍了X光也發現尾巴骨頭已有侵蝕的跡象 摩卡的癌細胞一直是我們擔心的事 一年前因為黑色素細胞瘤摘除右眼球 雖然醫生說在眼球裡比較不會移轉 我們還是很注意摩卡的身體狀況 剛好一年時間不同的癌症又在摩卡身上出現 心裡很清楚惡性的癌細胞在牠身上流動 這次截尾後能撐多久也不知道 上一次摘除眼球、這次截尾 都非常幸運靠外科手術處理 但下一次癌細胞復發不知道會從哪裡出來.... 還沒有米樂時摩卡就救援 因為會咬人所以一直沒有送養 一轉眼已經5年也很習慣跟我們生活 摩卡跟我們的關係用老朋友形容會更貼切 這些時間已經跟我們培養很好的默契 一個眼神、手勢就知道我們要什麼 對周圍來來去去的學弟妹也都能和平共處 除了每次看醫生需要鎮靜以外 從來沒給我們添麻煩 未來不知道摩卡的病程會怎麼走 但會盡量讓牠開心 把握當下在一起的時光 共同面對未來的挑戰 摩卡截尾企噗噗出院後 回到協會生活馬上恢復正常 能吃能喝期待早、晚的散步 來看看摩卡的新尾巴 等毛長出來應該會有迷人的翹臀😆 Mocca was spotted with a lump on the tail while shaving earlier this month. The original vet appointment was scheduled for April,12th for fine needle aspiration (FNA), yet the lump bursted open unexpectedly and bled profusely on the morning of the 6th Scrambling to stop the bleeding, we sent Mocca to the veterinary hospital. Upton examining, the veterinarian recommended tail docking and sent for laboratory review. Before undergoing the surgery, the tail bone has also shown indication of skin ulcer when the X-Ray was taken. Mocca’s cancer cell has always been in the back of our mind. His right eye was surgically removed due to malignant melanoma about a year ago. Although the veterinarian mentioned melanomas is less likely to spread to other organs, we still monitor his health closely. A different type of cancer was diagnosed on Mocca within a year. We all know very well that malignant cancer is spreading in his body. It’s hard to know how long can Mocca live after this surgery. Mocca is fortunate to be still alive as chances are cancer recurrence seems likely to happen again. We rescued Mocca before our association was founded. As Mocca will bite people, we never have adoption plan for him. In the blink of an eye, Mocca has grew accustomed to living alongside us. The relationship between us is more like an old friend going way back in the days. We’ve developed great chemistry over the years. Mocca knows exactly what we want with just a simple look and gesture. Mocca coexists peacefully with his peers who often come and go. He has never caused any trouble for us except for the sedatives needed while visiting the vet.
