Here is Part 2 of 3 for Calgary Pride September 5th 2010.
So the Calgary Mayor's election was on October 18th, 2010. Sadly, Barb Higgins didn't win. She came 3rd place out of more than 10 candidates on the ballot at over 91,000 votes. Which I think is very good for a female first time runner. I wish Barb good luck in whatever she decides to do in the future.
We welcome Canada's first Muslim Mayor Naheed Nenshi. Canada's first Muslim Mayor for a major Canadian City.
I hope Calgary does well in the next 3 years.
