(Random) Since it’s already such a mix-matched selection of photos, I might as well make the caption totally unrelated. #photodump Today, I had a mindful ‘a-ha’ moment when I suddenly reminded myself, “the present is the only reality”. The previous second is already a memory, and the next moment is not even real yet. Memory and reality are not _real_. Not as real as the prickliness of the sofa fabric, not as real as the excitement of finally getting to your favourite part of a Ferrero Rocher, not as real as the actual intensity of vomiting, or heat, or pain, or the touch of your skin against the skin of the person whom you wish you have all the time in the world with. Only now is real. So let it go. Yeah. It was quite a moment. P.S. Apart from that, I’ve just been pretty damn stressed out with renovations of the flat (which will be ready really soon!) and preparing for exams, cafe, time and schedules and appointments and invoices and bills. 🦭 and life’s many uncertainties and tests. 🦭 I get pretty uninspired and bogged down, and feel the pressing desire for more room for creativity and expression.

Happy Father's Day!! Wanted to share a few gift ideas for filmmakers and photographers like yourself or dad. Swipe to follow along! 1. External SSD - great for low storage computers and much faster and durable than a HDD. I personally use the @sandisk Portable 1TB SSD for awhile. It's slightly slower than others but gets the job done. 2. Wireless Mic - all around great for work or recording yourself. The @rodemic Wireless Go II is a great option with a small form factor and great sound quality. It can record two channels into one input! A little pricey but one I use a lot. 3. Computer Dock - I love my Mac but i hate the amount of ports it has. Adding more ports with a reliable and fast dock can be very helpful. Been using the @ivankyofficial Docking Station Pro for awhile now and very happy with it. It's fast and adds a more useful ports. It's a little bulky but hasn't bogged down even when using all the ports. 4. Variable ND Filter - super important for controlling your exposure but not all filters are created equal. I use the @moment variable ND filter as I find it to be the cleanest. However, it has a magenta colour cast. I don't use variable ND's much as I have a C70 but this can be helpful if you don't have built in ND's. 5. Multi Camera tool - helpful when you have camera plates, allen screws etc. Useful when rigging up camera cages and plates. I have the @smallrig.global Multi Tool I bought awhile back and have been using it since. Better than fumbling for loose coins 6. Film Camera - can be a great throwback for your dad! In the age of digital, shooting film can be a lot of fun and creatively rewarding. I have many film cameras but one of my favorites is the Canon F1-N. The Canon AE-1 is a great option too. 7. Capture Card - an odd one but useful. I backed the @genkithings Shadowcast on Kickstarter and have been very happy with it. It's a capture card that transmits over HDMI to any laptop screen. Just plug it into a camera and connect it to your laptop and the feed will be transmitted on the app in your laptop! No lag but a slight delay. You don't have to buy the exact ones but I personally recommend them. Happy Fathers Day!
